I met (and I use the word advisedly) this lovely lady very briefly. I was an assistant house manager and was at the TV Theatre Shepherd's Bush. We were backstage for some reason or other and there was a manhole cover left off in the corridor. Lyndsey was walking towards us speaking to her manager, missed the open cover and tripped. At that point I thought that I had killed Lynsey De Paul! She was so brilliant!! She laughed and was so gracious as we assisted her up. She could have sued the BBC, but she was so wonderful. I will always have a soft spot for her in my heart. RIP you wonderful lady.
I was lucky enough to briefly meet lynsey back in the 80s when I worked in a shop on the kings road Chelsea, she was absolutely stunning breathtakingly stunning, I could feel my face burning as I spoke to her blushing, and the thing I really remember was how polite and down to earth she was, she was a celebrity but it didn't go to her head like some, I wanted to ask for her autograph and I'm sure if I had she would have given it to me, but I was young and too embarrassed to ask, gone too soon beautiful women RIP Lynsey. Xxx
My hubby had such a crush on this lady , he didn’t know she had died and it was such a shock when I showed him this video . Got to be honest I wasn’t a huge fan of Lyndsey’s music back in the day , however I did love her hit ‘ Sugar me ‘… can’t get it out of my head now ‼️ RIP Lyndsey 🕊️
In high school there was a piano in the refectory that was off limits to the pupils. One day a guy dared to play Sugar me. The teacher didn't mind, as the catchy tune was so pleasant to hear. Thank you Lynsey for the wonderful memories.
Lynsey was stunning with the voice of an Angel. Your channel brings back so many happy memories but shows us how short and fragile life can be. Thanks Paul, for bringing her centre stage once more
Another fantastic video Paul. Very very inspiring about what you were saying regarding light being after dark. My wife passed away in January she was only 65. Yes life is short. I have so much respect how you present your videos I love how you always acknowledge the people by gently tapping their headstones that is such a nice thing to do so respectful for the decreased person. Keep up the great work Paul
Lynsey was stunningly beautiful and a very lovely lady … sorry I wasn’t on live as kept buffering ugh Wonderful and respectful as always paul .. hope ur having a lovely nite , much love as always ❤xx
Bought all of Lynsey’s singles. A naughty remembrance; when I was at senior school in the early 70’s sales of an edition of New Musical Express went through the roof when Lynsey appeared in it dressed in a see through top wearing nothing underneath! You can imagine why all us school boys rushed to W H Smith’s to buy a copy! I should think that was the best selling edition of NME in their history! Sadly, I no longer have it. Like everyone else I was shocked to learn of her sudden death. Lynsey was beautiful until the end and such a talented lady. RIP.
❤️ so sad Lynsey has passed so prematurely what a super lady she was! Thanks for this Paul you're such a gentle, genuine guy which comes over so beautifully in your work. Well done ✊ xxxxx
I was a big fan as a youngster and my friends all told me I sang like her..I probably didn't and I definitely don't now😊..She was a real star sadly taken too soon😞
Hi paul thank you so much for the videos lindsey so beautiful young girl so talented had aterrible time with her father as i am too jewish she will always be rememberd eosion loved her and always will god bless you paul keep up the good workxxx
Thank you Paul, lovely tribute to her,you are right life's for living so go out there and enjoy every day your way,but sometimes like you said we get some things thrown at us,but we stay strong and fight on,total respect Paul stay safe xxxx❤️😊
She was a very attractive and talented lady and remember seeing her on the TV many times. Such a sad loss at a young age. Thank you for another sensitive video.
Thank you Paul for telling us about Lynsey she was such a lovely lady and very talented thank you for showing us around Lynsey De Paul’s grave and telling us her life story I’m always interested in your videos they are so interesting 💕rest in peace Lynsey 💕
Many thanks for doing these videos Paul. Always an interesting, moving tribute to someone who has put there stamp on our earth . Keep up the good work.
Thank you for another great video Paul . You are always so knowledgeable and respectful and I hope many people will take heart at the advice you gave about when any of us are feeling low or not having the best time . Lynsey was a very beautiful and talented lady and I just watched a video of her singing Wont Somebody Dance with Me in 1973 and what looked like the Les Dawson show . I didnt know her first manager was Gordon Mills , who at various times managed Tom Jones , Engelbert Humperdink and Gilbert O'Sullivan . Gilbert's song Claire was supposedly written about Gordon's Daughter of the same name . Please continue to take the Mick out of yourself and your beard stroke and pointing finger when you find a grave has become your trade mark now !.
Lynsey so stunningly beautiful and an exceptionally talented singer songwriter…I find it hard to accept she has gone but thank you for your lovely video.
Lovely lady. , went out with Lindsey for a few months years ago , such a lovely woman ,big heart ,funny , kind , generous an an absolute sweetheart. May you rest in peace and God bless you.
I think you could spend a little bit longer focusing on the gravestone. That's what everyone clicks to see, not the ten minute walk. You could talk about her while the camera is pointing at the gravestone with little images of her appearing in the corner of the screen. And there's something very patronising about patting the headstone on the 'head'. But the idea is good. It just seems that the main focus point is the least important. It would be lovely to finish with her song "won't somebody dance with me " while the camera is on her gravestone and then it slowly fades out. That would send shivers down tge viewers spine.
Thankyou for your really uplifting words about making the most of life….it’s true, whether celebrity or not, life goes so quickly…we don’t realise when young, just how fast it goes, then, like me you suddenly find your getting older and you havnt done all the things you wanted to do etc. crap Days hit us all, but you were so sincere you touched my heart Paul, bless you. ❤️😘🙏🦋
Paul another one of your great videos of the lovely Lyndsey de Paul, yes taken away far to soon, but wanted in another place, great work you do for us all
Did not think i would like this but thought watch it any way, Glad i did enjoyed your facts about Lynsey and your comments on life`s up`s and down`s so i say thank you for the video very taste full
Shamefully I have never heard of her but what an interesting lady. With the reference about Sean Connery, I can quite believe. My father came across Sean when out on the beat. Sean had broken down and his language was so blue and was so rude that any of his films was not allowed on in our house! 66 is no age. Will have to research her music now. Thanks for educating me ❤
hi paul what a beautiful lady she was very talented l hadn't realised she had gone r.i.p tragic such a young age your words are very true paul about going through dark days light days do return
What a beautiful multi talented lady. Very strong lady as well having come through that trauma in her younger years. Wonderful and compassionate as always Paul. Nearly At 50K and well deserved. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻💥
Fantastic video really enjoyed the Lindsey De Paul life history extremely interesting some info I never knew !!! Excellent Channel always look forward to another episode “Class Act young Man “ 🤣😃👍🏾
Fantastic lady so talented, beautiful and one of my favourite songs of hers is No Honestly as well as Sugar Me. Taken way too soon. Love Always. Robert Bridgend 🏴
Rest in peace Linsey. I really enjoy your videos, you're doing a fantastic job sir. Thank you so much for your advice at 8:14 I'm going through a rough patch at the moment and your words really hit home.
It's hard to believe that 45 years have passed since Lynsey sang *Rock Botton* at the Eurovision Song Contest. I also didn't know that she had died, or that she lived - and is buried - only a few miles away from where I now live. Lynsey De Paul was a very talented songwriter and singer and, as you say, Paul, taken way too soon and in such a tragic way. RIP Lynsey. 🕯
Just had to re watch the beginning I missed. I never realized her history. Paul you cover so much with these amazing people its such a joy to watch. Your words are so meaningful. Thank you for sharing with us.
I don't usually go for blondes, but lynsey was so strikingly beautifully pretty she could make any man melt. Lynsey as one can imagine was a very popular lady with very well respected upper class people. My icon profile picture is that of the 1974 mott the hoople album on which lynsey did backing vocals. Mott the hooples lead guitarist luther grosvenor was nicked named aerial bender by paul. Luther when often moody would walk along the road snapping the aerials from all the cars! Lynsey was a animal rights activist who adopted many cats. One she named tri pod because it had three legs! Lyndsey de paul a very bright pretty lady who had a superb sense of humor with that voice, makes my heart melt!
Had the privilege of meeting and talking to Lindsey many years ago. She was so polite and down to earth. A lovely and beautiful lady. RIP

Loved the song she wrote for a tv programme called “No Honestly” starring John Anderson and Pauline Collins. Thank you Paul ❤️🎹🎼
Yes, I was thinking about that one too Sharon.
