- Today I visit the Famous grave of Lynsey De Paul the former Composer, Singer, Actress, and model.
Lynsey de Paul (born Lyndsey Monckton Rubin; 11 June 1948[1] - 1 October 2014)[2] was an English singer-songwriter and producer. After initially writing hits for others, she had her own chart hits in the UK and Europe in the 1970s, starting with UK top 10 single "Sugar Me", and became the first British female artist to achieve a number one with a self-written song (in 1972 in Belgium, Spain and The Netherlands). She represented the UK in the 1977 Eurovision Song Contest, scoring another chart-topping hit in Switzerland and had a successful career as a two-time Ivor Novello Award-winning composer, record producer, actress and television celebrity.

Had the privilege of meeting and talking to Lindsey many years ago. She was so polite and down to earth. A lovely and beautiful lady. RIP

A wonderful tribute to an amazing singer and a genuinely lovely lady. Although she's gone, her music 🎶 lives on. A fond farewell Lynsey ❤ 😊
I worked for her and she was an amazing lass who could have a great conversation and she kept her beauty throughout.
She really was a one off.
I met (and I use the word advisedly) this lovely lady very briefly. I was an assistant house manager and was at the TV Theatre Shepherd's Bush. We were backstage for some reason or other and there was a manhole cover left off in the corridor. Lyndsey was walking towards us speaking to her manager, missed the open cover and tripped. At that point I thought that I had killed Lynsey De Paul! She was so brilliant!! She laughed and was so gracious as we assisted her up. She could have sued the BBC, but she was so wonderful. I will always have a soft spot for her in my heart. RIP you wonderful lady.
This has saddened me. Never knew she had passed away…she was lovely!
RIP Lynsey
A young beautiful lady amazing voice and kept her looks Words just cannot express the loss of this lady RIP beautiful lady
Lyndsay De Paul all round talented beautiful lady great voice. God Bless You rest in peace 🕊️🙏😇💐
Paul you shouldn’t be thanking us , we should be thanking you for everything that you do.
Thank you.
I didn't know she had passed.. was a total boyhood crush 💜
I was lucky enough to briefly meet lynsey back in the 80s when I worked in a shop on the kings road Chelsea, she was absolutely stunning breathtakingly stunning, I could feel my face burning as I spoke to her blushing, and the thing I really remember was how polite and down to earth she was, she was a celebrity but it didn't go to her head like some, I wanted to ask for her autograph and I'm sure if I had she would have given it to me, but I was young and too embarrassed to ask, gone too soon beautiful women RIP Lynsey. Xxx
Thank you Paul, what a beautiful talented lady Lynsey was. May she rest in peace singing with the angels ❤️🙏

My hubby had such a crush on this lady , he didn’t know she had died and it was such a shock when I showed him this video . Got to be honest I wasn’t a huge fan of Lyndsey’s music back in the day , however I did love her hit ‘ Sugar me ‘… can’t get it out of my head now ‼️ RIP Lyndsey 🕊️
Lovey inspiring words Paul thank. R.I.P beautiful Lynsey 💚💚
In high school there was a piano in the refectory that was off limits to the pupils. One day a guy dared to play Sugar me. The teacher didn't mind, as the catchy tune was so pleasant to hear. Thank you Lynsey for the wonderful memories.

Lynsey was stunning with the voice of an Angel.
Your channel brings back so many happy memories but shows us how short and fragile life can be.
Thanks Paul, for bringing her centre stage once more
❤️ so sad Lynsey has passed so prematurely what a super lady she was! Thanks for this Paul you're such a gentle, genuine guy which comes over so beautifully in your work. Well done ✊ xxxxx
So beautiful and stunning I think and died young
A young age taken way too soon R.I.P Lynsey de Paul

Lynsey was stunningly beautiful and a very lovely lady … sorry I wasn’t on live as kept buffering ugh
Wonderful and respectful as always paul .. hope ur having a lovely nite , much love as always ❤xx
Loved the song she wrote for a tv programme called “No Honestly” starring John Anderson and Pauline Collins. Thank you Paul ❤️🎹🎼
Yes, I was thinking about that one too Sharon.
Bought all of Lynsey’s singles. A naughty remembrance; when I was at senior school in the early 70’s sales of an edition of New Musical Express went through the roof when Lynsey appeared in it dressed in a see through top wearing nothing underneath! You can imagine why all us school boys rushed to W H Smith’s to buy a copy! I should think that was the best selling edition of NME in their history! Sadly, I no longer have it. Like everyone else I was shocked to learn of her sudden death. Lynsey was beautiful until the end and such a talented lady. RIP.
I remembered that Sharon but was too much of a coward to admit it revealing my age 😂
@@paulrobinson8116 Haha😉
@Trixie K Was John Alderton Sharon related to Ariel Sharon?
Rest in peace Lynsey De Paul and lovely headstone and little piano too!!
I remember her living with James Coburn and I always loved him

She’s was lovely ❤❤❤
Bless her heart 💓 yes gone way to Soon a good person .
It's hard to believe that 45 years have passed since Lynsey sang *Rock Botton* at the Eurovision Song Contest. I also didn't know that she had died, or that she lived - and is buried - only a few miles away from where I now live. Lynsey De Paul was a very talented songwriter and singer and, as you say, Paul, taken way too soon and in such a tragic way. RIP Lynsey. 🕯
Sie war eine wunderschöne Frau.
Hab sie gern singen gehört.
Schade!
Danke Paul für dieses Video ❤️👍
loved your little talk on enjoying life. your such a sweetheart Paul
Didn’t smoke didn’t drink but still died so young so sad. Before my time but sounded like a lovely woman. Early well done from me Paul for 50k 🎉🤟
Beautiful lady 💔
Another fantastic video Paul. Very very inspiring about what you were saying regarding light being after dark. My wife passed away in January she was only 65. Yes life is short. I have so much respect how you present your videos I love how you always acknowledge the people by gently tapping their headstones that is such a nice thing to do so respectful for the decreased person. Keep up the great work Paul
My condolences Paul, and thank you so much for your kind words. 🙏
1972 ,I was 15 and adored Lynsey De Paul .Thank you for another first class and respectful video .Blessings xxx
I was in love with her when I was a young teenager

Totally agree with you Paul, it becomes more apparent as you get older and start losing friends and relatives around you. Yea.! Talented lady, beautiful with it.

Some graves you never want to see, and Lynsay is one of them she was taken far too early. She was a lovely lady and I hope she is happy. RIP.
Such a beautiful lady and voice
Thankyou for your really uplifting words about making the most of life….it’s true, whether celebrity or not, life goes so quickly…we don’t realise when young, just how fast it goes, then, like me you suddenly find your getting older and you havnt done all the things you wanted to do etc. crap Days hit us all, but you were so sincere you touched my heart Paul, bless you. ❤️😘🙏🦋
She was a very attractive and talented lady and remember seeing her on the TV many times. Such a sad loss at a young age. Thank you for another sensitive video.

amazing singer,rip my dear lyndsey
What a beautiful multi talented lady. Very strong lady as well having come through that trauma in her younger years. Wonderful and compassionate as always Paul. Nearly At 50K and well deserved. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻💥
Days before Lindsey died so unexpectedly she had been at the unveiling of the Spike Milligan statue in Finchley. You were here last week Paul. The Spike statue is in Stephen's House and Gardens, a local park. It's two minutes walk from East Finchley Cemetery and crematorium. Spike was well known locally and involved with the Finchley Society.
I loved lynsey in the 70, a truly talented, beautiful lady, what a sad ending ,, g0 R0ck with the 😇 x
Great vidio Paul of the lovely Lyndsey De Paul , such a beautiful Lady RIP God Bless
LYNSEY DE PAUL, what a pretty lady a a beautiful singer, I have got to say Paul that the thing in life we do, life is to short so don't hurt others Just get on with your own life, Thanks Paul for the story about Lynsey 👍👍
Thank you paul learning a lot from you , she was lovely 😎👍
Paul another one of your great videos of the lovely Lyndsey de Paul, yes taken away far to soon, but wanted in another place, great work you do for us all
Remember Lynsey De Paul i liked her she was such a pretty woman R.I.P Lynsey xx
Hi Paul liked the video looking forward to the next video 👍👌
Lynsey so stunningly beautiful and an exceptionally talented singer songwriter…I find it hard to accept she has gone but thank you for your lovely video.
Great vlog paul. To a lovely little songbird. RIP Lynsey. ❤❤
Loved Lynsey so much because I had the same mole and all the boys used to tease me and make fun,, fast forward to early 70s and guess what , I’ve got the Lynsey dot as they called it…. Lovely memories of her.. x Lovely grave .
Shamefully I have never heard of her but what an interesting lady. With the reference about Sean Connery, I can quite believe. My father came across Sean when out on the beat. Sean had broken down and his language was so blue and was so rude that any of his films was not allowed on in our house! 66 is no age. Will have to research her music now. Thanks for educating me ❤
R.I.P. So talented.Love her music.
Nice looking grave for a change. Glad for her that it seems to be looked after. Thanks again Paull
Thank you for sharing.
Just had to re watch the beginning I missed. I never realized her history. Paul you cover so much with these amazing people its such a joy to watch. Your words are so meaningful. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you Paul! 😘✌🏼
I will always miss you we had some good times and bad but you are probably sweetest person I ever knew RIP sweetheart 💖
I’ve have seen this grave often when I’ve been to Hendon cemetery. What struck me the most is the simplicity of it, it I guess the piano says it all. When I first looked for it I knew it was hers by the piano. Hendon has a lot of beautiful gravestones. Have to ever looked at famous names in Kensal Green Cemetery .
What a honey!!
Absolutely gorgeous woman with so much talent. Her Sugar Me song and clip are wonderful ❤️. By her facial expressions in the clip gives a feeling that she didn't take herself too seriously and enjoyed her craft
So sad to hear that she was domestically abused by men in her life.
Love always Lynsey❤❤❤
Aww, I remember Lynsey too. Such a sad way to go. As a massive Eurovision fan I knew she’d come second although, I was too young in 77 to remember her song. Yes it’s rare we do well in the competition, but funnily enough, we came second this year too.
Thnx man, Really like to visit her grave one day. I'm from April '64, but she's a timeless Beauty R.i.p. Lynsey. Maybe we meet some day
Always sat up and took notice when she came on tv or TOTPs as a young lad, beautiful
Your words got me crying, also because my mom passed away in april 2023 and the songs of Lynsey remembers me of my youth, i was born in 1960.
Time is going too fast.
Thank you for another great video Paul . You are always so knowledgeable and respectful and I hope many people will take heart at the advice you gave about when any of us are feeling low or not having the best time . Lynsey was a very beautiful and talented lady and I just watched a video of her singing Wont Somebody Dance with Me in 1973 and what looked like the Les Dawson show . I didnt know her first manager was Gordon Mills , who at various times managed Tom Jones , Engelbert Humperdink and Gilbert O'Sullivan . Gilbert's song Claire was supposedly written about Gordon's Daughter of the same name . Please continue to take the Mick out of yourself and your beard stroke and pointing finger when you find a grave has become your trade mark now !.
Hi Paul, 👋 Beautiful lady taken from us too early. Greetings from Peterborough my friend 👋 🥰
I remember Lynsey de Paul and Mike Moran perform the song “ Rock Bottom” at the 1977 Eurovision Song 🎶 Contest. 🎤
