Later than 1963, one of the 'Jubilees' has a yellow stripe on the cabside banning it from running south of Crewe. These stripes were not applied until the summer of 1964. I suggest it could be 1965 or 1966.
Quite a lot of footage shot next to Scout Green box with it's leaning chimney stack. I believe met it's end in the early '70s. It was a popular location for photographers.
The irony of British Railways, was that the rot started before WW1,when Churchill was head of THE BOARD OF TRADE,and set policy! If in 1909,immediately before the real outbreak of the war,and required, that the Railways, when shopping goods vehicles,to put either vacuum brakes,or air brakes,on the equipment, plus the government would subsidize coal mines, and industry to allow fully braked stock to operate, maybe they wouldn't have lost WW1,but Churchill and company didn't see that far ahead!! As Ben Franklin put,"Penny wise,Pound foolish",so they never learned, did they!! Thanks for your attention and diligence!! Thank you 😇!!

The days before the M6 🤣🤣
Great film, shame about the music.
i generally watch with the sound turned off unless there is a sensible commentary.
