I highly recommend you sign the girls and their pups up for a FAMILY ORIENTED puppy/obedience class. Ensure with the instructor that your children are interested in training their dogs and that you have the instructor’s support with this. A 6-8 session course will be rather expensive, but totally worth it. They can learn how to positively reinforce behaviors- such as walking nicely on a leash :) Even as an experienced dog owner- I take all my new pups to puppy class- socialization (with other dogs outside your family) and other people outside your family, is super important. 😊
Totally agree Mason brings a smile to me as well every time he’s in a video. All the kids are amazing and touch my heart in their own ways. Love them all and it’s like watching your own kids grow up.

Anavaeh reminds me so much of my son. We had a 40 minute drive home from his school and he would talk all the way home. You will never have to worry about her keeping secrets from you. My son is 24 now and he still talks my ear off. Dinner looked great Mason.

Just a tip- if the ground is too hot for your bare feet, it’s too hot for your dogs paws! The pavement can be 40-60 degrees hotter than the air temperature. It’s best to walk dogs bright and early in the morning before the heat, or in the late evening when it has cooled down.☺️
I am a vet student and if I understood correctly, this was the first time your dog was going on a walk outside. When you have a puppy, it's very important for them to experience a lot of different things as well as being educated (potty training, responding to their names, how to walk on a leash...). So I think your dog not walking could be because of two main reasons: 1) Not knowing how to walk on a leash because it wasn't shown to him before (you would need to be patient and practice in the backyard + give treats each time he accomplishes something: at the beginning just for a step, then longer distances and then when he walks by your side) 2) Sensory privation disorder (not sure of the name in English) because of poor expose to the outside world. He could be scared because it's unknown to him. The most crucial part for their development is the exposure to various experience when they are young. Past a certain point, it would be "too late" and it will be a lot of hard work for them to become comfortable with their surroundings. I don't know how old your dog is but you have to start as soon as possible or your dog will be scared of everything. Then it could be because he is hurt somewhere or uncomfortable but if he is behaving normally at home, it would be unlikely. Last tip, please don't pick up your dog because he needs to get accustomed to the environment and explore. It is one of the cause of behaviour issues in small breeds. Hope that helped ;)

I'm in awe of how God can change people, to imagine that Anaveah was not speaking at all when she was adopted, and she always had this gaze as if she was lost in her thoughts at such a young age and to see how much she's transformed... it's just amazing.....
Aubrey , just a suggestion, if Misty isn’t used to wearing her collar leave it on all the time and try practice walks on the lead at home. Yes if you havnt taken her on a walk before she'll probably be realy overwhelmed, to start with you can lure her along with treats and the walks should be short to start with. You can also just sit down with her and put her collar on and when shes sitting relaxed give her treats Your doing a great job with her though, love your vids
Also take her to dog obediance it will help with confidence and I'm sure you will learn heaps, also I recommend a harness that clips at the front rather then on the back because when it's on the back it turns them into sled dogs lol

Leash training is extremely important even if you don’t normally walk your dog otherwise this happens. IMPORTANT!!!! Hey cutie gals. One thing to check before you take your dogs for a walk on a hot day is to check to see how hot the pavement is so the dogs paws don’t get burned. One way to check is to try walking on the pavement in bare feet. If it is too hot for your bare feet it is too hot for the dogs paws. It is always fun to see you gals and your puppies. Big hugs. Aubrey try putting the leash on Misty and walking her around inside the house, up and down stairs. Then walk her around outside in the yard where she goes potty. Do this every day inside and out. Then try walking her around your driveway. Do that for several days. She is behaving this way out of fear. She doesn't understand what you want, and doesn't have the confidence yet to walk on a leash. Also bring little tiny treats with you to encourage her, and constantly praise her. Don't just say "good girl" for each thing she does. And in the behavior that she did. Such as, " Good sit, good girl." " Good potty, great job!" "Good walk (on the leash) YES!" Always mention the behavior so she knows what you want from her, or what behavior she did correctly. You aren't doing anything wrong, she's still very much a puppy and she's just scared.
Misty isn’t excited for a walk because she’s never been on one. The leash can be scary which is why you have to start as young as possible. Let her wear the leash a little in a controlled environment like the house or backyard.
With the pup start with taking them outside and getting them used to the sound of traffic, people passing and just the general factors to the outside world. Start small, take them on a walk around the garden - get them used to the lead! If they don’t usually wear a collar let them wear it for a little bit around the house if it’s safe to do so. Just exposure to make it all seem less scary. It’s a foreign situation for them much like us going into the unknown! You’re doing great though pups aren’t the easiest first pet

I'm not sure if it's the same in the U.S but here in the UK the advice is that if your puppy has not had all its' necessary vaccines (most breeders sell puppies at 8 weeks old here) then for the first 7- 14 days the owner should keep them on their property, after that initial week and a half or so the puppy should be taken for a walk but kept away from other dogs*. Only after the puppy had it's vaccines at 3 months should it mix with other dogs on a walk. 2. How hot was it that day? Again not sure if it's the same in the U.S but here in the UK advise is if the temperature is above 20°C (68° Fahrenheit) dog owners should really think whether a walk is essential, however if the temperature is above 25°C (77°F) advise is not to walk the dog at all. How ever I'm not sure if concrete retains heat as well as tarmac does, if it does it will destroy a fog's pads if it's really warm. Next time you try taking Misty and the other dogs for a walk make a big deal of preparing to go on it, if Misty and Addison's puppy (sorry I forgot her name) she how excited Lily and Bailey get as you put leads and harnesses on they'll see that going for a walk isn't so scary. Also before you shell out for harnesses try an extending lead, young dogs like to explore when they go for a walk and traditional short 'hand loop' leads aren't very permissive of exploration. *= of course that's assuming you either don't have other dogs in the household or know of fully vaccinated dogs in your neighbourhood to walk with
Practice in the house on a leash with treats. Let her wear her leash around so she gets use to it. I love meat loaf my daughter makes it for me every birthday. I don't really eat meat very often.
As misty is still a puppy it’s best to start her on the lead on the grass areas to get used to a lead as it’s not necessary a thing they automatically enjoy.

Addison use treats to train your dog to walk on leash and walk outside. Use a harness and leash and a couple treats to train Misty to walk on leash outside
The 2 dogs both need harness Put the harness on and let them run and play in the house with the harness on. That is how I got my 11 year old dog used to them

A harness will definitely be safer and easier for your pup! Pressure on their trachea will cause a trachea collapse which is not good.

Next time you try taking Misty and the other dogs for a walk make a big deal of preparing to go on it, if Misty and Addison's puppy (sorry I forgot her name) she how excited Lily and Bailey get as you put leads and harnesses on they'll see that going for a walk isn't so scary.
Also before you shell out for harnesses try an extending lead, young dogs like to explore when they go for a walk and traditional short 'hand loop' leads aren't very permissive of exploration.
*= of course that's assuming you either don't have other dogs in the household or know of fully vaccinated dogs in your neighbourhood to walk with

Practice in the house on a leash with treats. Let her wear her leash around so she gets use to it. I love meat loaf my daughter makes it for me every birthday. I don't really eat meat very often.

As misty is still a puppy it’s best to start her on the lead on the grass areas to get used to a lead as it’s not necessary a thing they automatically enjoy.

My kids LOVE the mini pizzas! We do it with English muffins, pizza sauce, shredded cheese, and whatever toppings they wants and pop them in the oven! They’re so good!

Braxton look so good and cute with that hat like that. Trey is so cute and his dance is so cute, but funny in a good way. Trey is the one who would just do something random without not knowing what is happening or what happened. It’s because he is still very little and young. He don’t understand everything that happens. He just kinda go ago with it, and at times is just funny to laugh. Nice feet bump jump Cody Co! It’s always nice to see the kids that don’t live at your home anymore in the video as often as they want to be filmed. We know their there quite often.
Addison use treats to train your dog to walk on leash and walk outside. Use a harness and leash and a couple treats to train Misty to walk on leash outside
