- The Matra Murena is an 80s mid-engined 3 seater sports car. It was produced by the French company Matra from 1980 to 1984. Srđan's Matra is specific as it has some special aero, 16 inch wheels and an exhaust that a straight from the factory car would not have.
After first seeing a Matra Murena as a child in the early 80s Srđan fell in love with the car and decided to one day own one. Forty years later he managed to make his dream come true and buy this one in Germany and with some work get it to the pristine condition it is now.

Matra Murena sportski je automobil s 3 sjedala iz 80-ih s motorom u sredini. Proizvodila ju je francuska tvrtka Matra od 1980. do 1984. godine. Srđanova Matra specifična je po tome što ima posebne vizualne dodatke (branici, pragovi, maglenke), felge od 16 cola i auspuh kakav tvornički auto nije imao.
Nakon što je kao dijete početkom 80-ih prvi put vidio Matru Murenu u Puli, Srđan se zaljubio u automobil i odlučio da ce ga jednog dana imati. Četrdeset godina kasnije uspio je ostvariti svoj san i kupiti ovaj u Njemačkoj i uz malo rada dovesti ga u besprijekorno stanje u kakvom je sada.

I saw one of these when I was a kid (it was in a state). This one is a real credit to this owner. What a lovely car!

Good video, nice car. I had one for 15 years,but the cost for a good was to high, and sold it. 😢 its was a special car to drive and enjoy every time . Ik still look very modern and not ancient.

This car is not a 1984 Murena S though, the serial number has "DX" in it which means it's from 1983. If the owned is interested I know someone who has the exact color every Murena had when it came out of the factory, and I don't think Bordeaux was as standard catalog color.

I think it was painted bordoeux by the tuning company that also did the bumpers and spoiler. Anyways thanks for the info 😁

Few issues in the video, the car can never have been Bordeaux in colour and the year can never be 1984. According to the chassis number it is a series D car so 1983. Total production was 10.680.
Bordeaux Vérilac 8405.
1983 serie D. Ok.
1984 serie E. Model S / 480 ex. Ok.
10680. Ok.

hi yer . i own a 2.2 , can i askwhat car do the mirrors come from and how did you modifie them to fit ?
I believe the mirrors are from the tuning house along with the rest of the body kit
Good shape when you buy it? You said you have to fix the engine and to Paint it. So, now it Looks amazing, but how much did you pay for it? I think if a car only needs to Paint or engine Work is in good shape, isn't it?
I believe he meant it was in good shape compared to most of them out there, it is still a 40 year old car, and even if the engine is not broken an engine refresh (if you can do it) is a welcome thing on old cars. As for the paint, I think he just wanted the different color.
@@perhat22 yes could be...I will check one on saturday. On the pics it looks breathtaking. The yellow paint looks new. I hope it is like this even under it's skin.
