I installed a Seiko westminster whittington chime movement into a 1874 Ingraham Duplex Hathor Tambour mantle clock replacing its worn out mechanical bim bam striking movement. which i took out along with the chime rods. as i got the long shaft movement due to the thick wood in these Ingraham clock cases. was better than spending $600 to fix got this movement from ebay seller Gone to pieces in Homer City PA Us weaver clocks which is perfect for upgrading a old clock. clock is set to westminster chime and sounds great but not too loud as i mounted the speaker on a bracket attached where the chime rods formally attached and sounding through the original pendulium hole. as the case glass clock face are original the original back door on the clock too the only time the door be opened is to set the time and battery replacement. as this upgrade can be done to any shelf mantle and bracket clocks if you own an RV, yacht or boat, or a sleeper berth of a semi truck. as it will run regardless of surface imperfections or if moving constantly.
Hi there. Those are great questions. 1. Unfortunately, I don't know the number generation this clock is, but I would assume that the sound of these chimes is older than the ones you hear on today's Seiko clocks. My guess is that it's from the mid 1990s, possibly 1995. 2. This particular movement that I have only has the ability to chime on all four quarters; however, this has volume control, and you can have it chime 24 hours a day if you so choose.
Most of the Quartz battery-powered chiming clocks have the function of chiming every 15 minutes. However, there are cheaper ones that chime on the hour only. The Howard Miller Quartz 81st anniversary mantel clock that I have can chime every 15 minutes or the hour only. That clock's volume can be halved using the nighttime volume control feature. That clock also has volume control and night shut-off like the Seiko clock in this video. I hope that answers your question.
This sounds like my grandmother’s clock that hangs in her dining room the Whittington chime has to be my favorite, so calming and relaxing
i found a listing for this on Ebay and i bought it for $65 plus $14 shipping it was the only listing i found of this clock
these are rare, the system was retired and replaced with "real electronic sound" in the early 2000's
thats what i got in the movement i got i installed into an Ingraham tambour mantle clock replacing a worn out keywound movement
Year is 1997, so
That sounds like my maternal maternal great aunt Carol's.
Stephanie sounds like my clock but mine was a Stratford clock
The chime from this clock reminds me of my grandmas old wall clock i got set up for her.
Nice chimes
I'm glad you like them.

How many clocks?
In the recording, I had 12 chiming clocks. Since then, I collected at least 13 more.
How do you find the date on the model number of a Seiko Westminster Whittington?
Truth told, I don't know the exact date, but that's my best guess.
2:54 i hear background of full hour strike chime
Do you know the model number of this clock? Trying to find one without the electronic chime. Thanks!!
I would like to know the model number of this clock. I can not find a similar model on the Internet

Do these have a setting where they can only chime on the hour or chime all four quarters?
Hi there.
Those are great questions.

Do some of them chime on the hour only?
It depends on the clock and its functions. But I'm pretty sure that there are some clocks that chime on the hour only.
Do most chime every 15 minutes? And can you list the ones that chime on the hour only?

What number generation of chime is this?
First generation probably made in the 1980s
