I990 as a def soldier teams was deployed to assist Kashmiri families those fled from Kashmir hills.All of them were v panic stage some crying for husband wife Son.Most of them were in single pair of dress nd slipper.As team of soldier our duty was first to settle them in temporary camps constructed for their shelter.Month of june most of them started suffering from high temp Gastro problems Skin rashes.Even all lady wives of solders were deployed for volunteer service.Source of water supply to complete Nagrota camp nd surrounding civil area was only Tawi river.Due to suddent growth of population had sever scarcity of water.My husband Garrison engineer nd his team spent whole night at Tawi to pump extra water.More than 5000 deserters were camp.Even army ladies wife were detailed to serve water pack food beddings medicines .Almost after 5 months they were shifted to new location.These kind of temporary camp were placed in all over military camp of jammu.Some of them were not in condition to take sips of water continiously crying for beloved one who left behind or mis happening had taken place.
