Interesting fact, it depends on the laws specific to your state, but, while the legal age for alcohol purchase is 21 throughout the USA, there is no specific age for alcohol consumption in some states. Therefore based on what the laws actually state it is not illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to drink alcohol that happens to be in their house in those states. So long as they stay home while drinking, it is legal.
In England, you drink alcohol on private estate at like five.
