- Singing the beautiful national song Sari Gelin with the amazing vocalist Ilham Nazarov from Azerbaijan was a lovely and moving experience. He sings in a wide range of different genres. which includes jazz, pop music, mugham and sophisticated opera arias.
The singer has the strength, emotion and pure voice that takes you somewhere you have never been before. A really welcoming man and it was great to be around him and his friends.

It's a lovely deep song, like you said it seems to be like it was written and sung as part of a play or a story. Ilham Nazarov is a wonderful vocalist, and Carmella the lovely pianist plays so beautifully. I love the filming of the street scenes, so well done and directed. When the pigeons fly in synchronicity with the song its exceptionally captivating. Dear Joss Stone ( @jossstone ), when choosing songs in different countries be picky to chose really original song of that specific nation. Unfortunately this song is not original azeri song. In Turkey they also sing this song, but they know that it is an Armenian one. In 2010 a Turkish artist when mentioned this on an Azeri tv channel, she became an unwanted person in that country. But even former foreign minister of Turkey Davutoglu accepted that this is an Armenian song.
