What hair straightener are you currently using and how much did it cost?
Its like 500 rupees
Its like 500 rupees idk its brand tina i love you girl
I have the same GHD as you
about £200
Tina Yong L’ange Rose Aplatir Straightener $109 (USD)
I feel like comparing the Dyson to a 10 year old GHD wasn’t fair as time goes on the quality goes down I like to see it compared to a new GHD and than see the difference
That's exactly what i was thinking, GHD must have newer & better versions by now.
Gundo Mamburu so true
I agree! But in saying that, I don't think GHD is the best straightener brand. It definitely used to be but I have a similar model to Tina and it's not very good.
Gundo Mamburu a lot of other videos out there compare it to a newer GHD so i guess we can just see tina’s video as a different perspective haha. i personally found it interesting and more realistic to see it compared to an older straightener as mine is literally at least 5 years old and i bought it for no more than 30$
I had a seven- eight year old GHD so I bought the dyson straightener because it was time for a new one. I don’t recommend people with newer ghd to buy a new straightener when theirs is practically new.
I think it's more fair to use an updated ghd to compare with the dyson one afterall your ghd was 10 years ago! X
Meina Lui yeah same idea with u
my thought exactly, a ghd or any straightener are used up way before 10 years
Was thinking same.. comparison dint made it fair
That's the first thing that came up in my mind. I also think she did it on purpose....think about it
I heard that the most recent GHDs are not as good as the older models. When I was looking at getting one people were saying not to upgrade and many were trying to find the older models. I didn't end up getting one and I don't straighten my hair anymore so I haven't looked into it since.
A new straightener always makes the hair smooth because of the smoothness of the material, ceramics, etc, so yes, it would be more fair to use an updated or new ghd to compare with the dyson one!
Everyones complaining about tina using a 10 year old straightener... its her go to. She knows everything about it and uses it all the time. Why wouldn’t she compare it with the dyson?
I was told by my hair stylist to hang on to my Ghd original as they are superior to the newer models. From what I understand the company changed hands and the older models are better. I bought the Dyson straightener and it arrived not working. It won't charge, and I get an error screen when I turn it on. I have seen a number of people have this exact same problem and for that reason I am returning it and not repurchasing. The Dyson seems to do some sort of self check on start up which is preventing it from heating - that it just way too complicated for me. My ten year old Ghd is still going just fine.
@@caliam1 YEA - I held on to mine too! Mine's 12 years old, n fortunately it's still going STRONG; and still hot AF! 🤭
I honestly think Dyson took a GIANT step back in the design. Why is it so bulky?!
chrzrd I guess because of the battery that’s inside it and to combat the internal heat could be many things. But next one they bring out they’ll develop a lighter one for the sake of it and add an extra $50-100 on top of the original price as usual hahaha
i got a hair straightener from the mall stands ( the lady kept begging me to try it😅) anyway it has all the characteristics of the dyson. It doesnt burn ur hand at the tip, you can run ur once to straighten, but its lightweight and its only $150. Ive had for ~6 months and its really good for straightening and curling
@@pikapew3428 What's the brand? Is it available online?
@@pikapew3428 is it cordless also? what was it called?
@@pikapew3428 I want to know what it is too. Please tell.
How can she compare her GHD over 10 years old ? Why doesn't she compare the latest GHD with the dyson ?
To give people the impression that the Dyson is better than majority (if not all). Also bear in mind Dyson 'loaned' her the straightener so giving them a not so well review with one of their competitors, Dyson would probably not work with her in the future. So it's a marketing technique.
Not everybody has the latest straightener
Agreed I have a new GHD and it’s amazing, I feel like this is comparing apples to oranges.
now you know, beauty influencers are just over-glorified salesgirl
@@MariaT95211 I agree not everyone has the latest straightener HOWEVER, she could have purchased, borrowed or "loaned" one because this sure was a biased review.
I noticed you took longer to go over the Dyson side than the GHD side. Plus one is new and another is old
I noticed this too. I was pretty surprised she would compare her hair when she was obviously trying more with the Dyson styled than the GHD..
I don’t think this was a good comparison. I felt like equal effort was not made to straight both sides. Clearly rooted for the dyson
Tina you are very natural, very smiling, lovely and spontaneous, I love your way of speaking and explaining to us several products, you are also very frank and sincere with us in your videos, you do not mince words and you are not afraid to criticize products that are not worth the business or that are not of good quality. rare are RUclipsr like you✨💜
Thanks to you, I discover new products, as usual I enjoy watching your videos, keep going 😇
i bought my straightener by philips more than 15 years ago and i dont even recall the price i paid but i bet it was less than 100usd, and it still goes strong, AND i can adjust the temperature and it s light enough...yes it s not perfect...but 500usd doesnt worth it either in my opinion! better safe and invest money into property or travel.
its not a $500 difference though
$400
Honestly Tina and Jackie are the best for posting content to entertain us in these difficult times 💪🏻☺️
I still have my Paul Mitchell straightner from High School. It's 24 years old... Lol!! Still works good!
Now that’s quality! The straightener I bought when I was in beauty school was a con air $15 straightener from Walgreens. That puppy lasted me 10 years before it bit the dust. Gotta say, that Paul Mitchell straightener is the bomb!
Omg you look so pretty Tina. I love your earrings so much. I have always wanted a hair straightener. You helped me choose which one I’m going to ask for my birthday. Thank you so much. Love you hope you and your family are staying healthy and safe. 💜💜
I will love to try the dyson hair straightener if is less expensive, i can get good straightener out there, that is not cost me arm & leg. Thank u for this video.
Ugh , that feeling when u get the notification from that one youtuber that u love the most , THANK U TINA 💖💖
I love your makeup look in this video! It's so fresh, simple and classy, totally my aesthetic! ❤❤
First RUclips video of the day♥️ quarantine times. Thanks Tina!
Tina Yong is literally my favourite makeup guru, she is so kind and so sweet☺️
Same ❤️
*beauty
Thank you for the realistic comparison. This was perfect for me because I own (and still LOVE) my 10 year old GHD but have been thinking of updating to a Corrale. I was hesitant and worried that they were too similar.
I have the same GHD for also 10 years!! It’s been amazing and has given me great hair! I sadly stepped on it and cracked the plate on vacation last year. It still works but I did buy a replacement updated model which the chord already ripped... quality is not the same! That GHD classic styler was literally a game changer for the hair industry
You moved it slowly on the Dyson side, and pretty much combed on the ghd side.
LMFAO exactly 😂
If you're going to move slowly ofc that section will be done better than the one with a quick swipe 🤦🏻♀️😂
omg thank you thank you thank youuuuu!! Ive been waiting for this review!!!
Your videos are so amazing! They always make my day! ❤
I think It Is fair to compare her 10 year GHD’s because that’s real life, a lot of people are still using their old straightener so It’s a good comparison to see how It holds up against a modern straightener.
2222 Given Dyson's famous failing rate on their other electronics with in few years... GHD 100% wins.
How is that a good comparison? Because if it’s real like that someone can’t get a replacement GHD straightener. Then how could they afford the dyson?
Hii tinaaaa I love u so much, ívè been watching your videos for 4 years now 💖
I’m so early and so grateful for that 💖
Omg that video was so cool but I already have straight hair. I love your videos!! It's so unique in style!!
I think I haven’t spent more than $40 for a hair straightener. Don’t think I’ll ever buy one for $500. 😂 Also, I always use a comb to straighten my hair, it makes all the difference!
hey Tina! Love ur vids! Ur so sweet and genuine 😂☺💕
Ah, gosh... As someone with ringlet curls, I'm realllll tempted.... I've tried to stop using heat altogether.. But it looks so nice 😍.. The difference in shine is crazy!
But your hair is short and straight in the pfp
Im sorry, im not even halfway and I HATE the size of that thing!!! I need a slim, sleek, and lightweight device or I cant deal with it. I currently have a super old $20 one i love, the ONLY thing id change is a plate that my protects, shines n smooths my hair.
Hope u are staying save 💖💙❤all my tension goes when i watch u i never get bored of u . Watching u in qaurantine
Litrally saving myself during quarantine.😊
Awesome video tina😍🥰🥰
Lots of love from india🥰🥰
This is cool, it's only been 1hr from the upload. This is so so so cool😁
I usually use a Bosch straightener it goes very well, and it cost 70€. I would love to see a comparison between the Dyson and a new model of GHD
I love your videos and you are so funny. Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
You are glowing!
I would have bought the dyson if there was a corded version without battery and a lot lighter. Sadly I'm neither a fan of these bulky one, nor I'm rich.
Are you crazy?
I also think the added weight is not worth it for 30 minutes of battery.
@@89krx exactly.
Omg tina your make up looks so beautiful 😍 can you do a tutorial please 💜
You can try the loreal professional streampod 3.0 its definitely worth its money😍
Ending Drama with the two straighteners was lit🤣🤣🤣😂😂
You look sooooo good with this hair colour😍😍😍
Hi Tina ,
I am vedha and I love to watch your videos ♥️♥️
Stay safe and healthy .
No more bore when Tina is here. Love ya...
I have never been this early HI TINA!!
Love the video!!!❤️❤️❤️
Your hair colour is so pretty!
Just ordered this.
Thanks for the link. 😘
The dyson side wasn’t even that straight when the piece was shown & her hair is already relatively straight. Also the speed at which the two different irons were passed was obviously faster of the ghd side. I wouldn’t ever pay $500 for a straightener, and if someone has to try to sell it to me like this it’s 100% not worth it 🤷🏽♀️
Annamariexo she definitely did not use the same method to straighten her hair with both stylers. I wouldn’t call it a fair comparison either! Seems like she’s trying to convince herself/her followers. This is upsetting.
@@MariaDiaz-wm7fm I noticed this too
I don’t to straighten my hair, but I might buy one to create waves
Tried the function of beauty shampoo and conditioner ... not good, loving Brigeo’s banana + coconut shampoo and conditioner + Shea Moisture’s strengthen and restore treatment masque - works so great w my colored and dry hair 😊 and how about T3 hair straightener? I’ve been using it for a long time and it works pretty good
Ilysmmm Tina !!
❤️
There's a link in the description, but it's tina_yong 😀
OMG as I was watching I just realized the 100$ straighter you have i literally used yesterday lol. I have the same one Lol😂 😂
My first impression of d dyson straightener is that it looks heavy and way too bulky 🙁 I'm using Phillips straightener and it cost SGD 160? I have the ghd gold styler as well but it tends to really dry out my hair with frequent use.
I use Tresemme hair straighteners that I bought from the local charity shop for £5 😂 they're brilliant and very light 😊
Hi tina! Would like to ask if what’s your hair color?
Wow ❤️ so early this time due to quarantine love ❤️ u
Same
Wow I had the same straightner of the one you own , it's broken and thank god it broke just for the records it damages hair more easily than the new updated version
So I highly suggest you buying a new straightner honestly
Which ghd is this and when did you buy it, as the new ones apparently don’t work as well
I’ve had my original ghd for years but the wire cord is exposed so I feel like I need to buy a new one
@Tina Tong where did you bought your earrings? So pretty
Which curl lasted long?
function of beauty have a branch in UAE yeeey ... thank you so much
Your beautiful as always tina💖
Braun satin hair5- XD it is an old school straightener ( light and efficient as well )
Tina you should try the glacial mud mask!!!
spontaneously i ordered my first set of function shampoo and conditioner. tina why you do dis to me 😂😂😂💜💜💜
Hi Tina! Love you!
I have ghd ones that have a little thing at the end to hold them together an it has a wider surface ceramic area
Tina will it help for curly hair too???
I don't use a hair straightener but the dyson one I would like to try, the cost of it is outragious. Is there another that works the same, but cheaper?
Shoukd try a Voduz straightener. It's an irish brand, not overly expensive and they make a cordless mini version. Infrared technology and curved plates to help create curls and stops it from missing the hairs on the outside
I have got that exact GHB straightener which I used for around 7 years! :o
Love watching your vids💋💋💋💋
I’ve never seen someone try to fail to straighten their already straight hair as much as this haha the Ghds worked fine 🙄
Her hair isn't straight tho? And she didn't do anything different than I do
Kreative Bunny she has thin straight hair, and you can clearly see when she uses the ghds she does a quick pass purposefully trying to not let it straighten her hair? Hair like hers doesn’t take much to straighten using flat irons, so if she’d done one slow pass like she did with the dyson there would have been no difference.. dyson was never going to ‘lend’ her a product and let her do a bad review
Tina which haircut have u done
Haircut name??
Hey! Tina. Iam from India I am not able to place the order for customised shampoo so any suggestions???
First time so early !!
I think better compare with ghd Platinum +
Notif Squad❤
The problem is i live in another country. So can they deliver the shampoo here?
Can you try compared it with hair beuron from japan? Ive heard it also good, better than ghd
Which one are you gonna use ?
Honestly regardless of price, age, size, That magnetic charging cord. is a massive.... deal... breaker.
sorry would never buy something with that falling off constantly
Sarah Metelerkamp I actually quite like the magnetic charging cord. I’m fairly clumsy and always trip over cables. With this, it just detached. It’s also easy to reattach in without looking!
Also I love your manicure OMG
Do a hair curler version!!!
Hi Ms. Tina! Can you please do a review of HeySilkySkin DIY Laser Hair Removal. I just want to know if it’s really not painful. I would really appreciate it a lot. Thank you!
It’s too expensive. Bye.
You should try Croc Straightener. They are a Mexican company. I was watching videos on Instagram how they iron the hair in only one pass and that's shocking a lot.
Also I use: Gama straightener.
I can't remember how It cost hahaha because I have since 11 years ago. But still ironed my hair too good.
Which curl lasted long?w/out using hair spray
Same question
I don't understand how you can compare a 10 years old straightener with a new one. Of course there will be a lot of differences! you are trying to sell the Dyson
Is vaseline good for hair? Does it have any side effects?
Your hair looks bouncier and shinier with the Dyson. Good review.
Interesting to watch, but I’m certain this review isn’t really valuable to me. I have naturally curly ringlet hair that loves to stay that way. I rarely straighten my hair because it takes so long and my arms get so tired. My curls always come back throughout the day after straightening, and my hair becomes really frizzy. A wear test would have been better to me to truly see how long the straightness lasts and on different hair types. It’s always bothered me how straightening ads and reviews use models or reviewers with already straight hair. No flack to Tina, this was still informative and interesting to watch. I just don’t think the review is very helpful for naturally curly haired concerns.
Sam Of Sam Nation THIS
Loving these earrings!
can you review Ohora stick on nails?? they are semi gel cured nail stick ons from a korean brand
Anybody got a good trustworthy no bs kind of a straightener recommendation? Anything around $50-$100 is acceptable :)
Edit: thanks everyone I’ll def be checking out the recommended brands! 💕
Babyliss or Vidal Sassoon
Jose eber!
sapphire straightener- buy it at mall stands cuz they give discounts and it ends up costing 125-150 w/ warrantly. and they'll style your hair for free for a year i think.
ilovetoomanythings I swear by my Kristen Ess straightener. It’s $80 at target and straightens my hard to straighten hair in one pass at 365 degrees. Works so much better than the straightener I have that’s almost $200. Could not recommend it enough
Babyliss products are generally pretty reliable and falls within your price range :)
Please compare your old GHD styler with the latest version?? 🤷🏼♂️
Heyy Tina!
