ALF follows the adventures of Gordon Shumway, a furry, wise-cracking alien from the planet Melmac who crash lands into the garage of the Tanner family. The Tanners offer him a home and give him the nickname ALF, short for “Alien Life Form.” Created by Tom Patchett (The Carol Burnett Show) and Paul Fusco (who also performed as ALF), the half-hour sitcom rose to popularity in the late 1980s, cementing itself in the pop culture zeitgeist.

I always thought that Alf and Lynn were the closest. She was such a beautiful, sweet, loving woman who always stood up for and loved Alf like a brother. They had a very special bond. It was always awesome when they were together.

Hang up when I tell ya. I remember that. Someone would call you and someone else would answer. You'd tell them to let you get to the phone and then hand up when you picked up.
So much has been cut from ALF episodes due to music licensing. During their "date" ALF & Jody request Alvin & The Chipmunks on the radio. That's why there's a weird cut when Lynn shows up. ALF can't hear her over the radio.
Plus, Alvin and the Chipmunks couldn't be used because of copyright strike. Now that the companies want more money, we can't afford it. If we want to put the song, it's just random songs or a dub we put on there. People would film the scene and turn the volume down instead. No Chipmunk songs, no Beatle songs, no scenes from Paramount, or nothing from Disney.

Through out the series, as far as Jodie is concerned, Alf is just a very short man who always wears the same sweater(which is getting worn out).

@@elgeneralxx It has nothing to do with that, it was for copyright reasons, from when Warner Brothers made the syndicated versions and even in their DVD with mostly uncut episodes, this was still cut out, so it is for copyright reasons, but I'm not complaining because I still very much enjoy these versions.
@@ALFFanInfinite well okay. I thought since the singing was so bad that they cut it out but i stand corrected. This was only season one. They didnt hate Alf as much yet. By season 4 it was really getting bad
