I bought replacement wheels and fixed the jacks at work thanks to this video. No more pulling entire pallets of water with wheels that are falling off and don't roll
My work has a few broken pellet jack wheels. I told the management I'll fix it, but they want to pay a professional..... I feel like I'm a professional now after watching this
Hi Dean! Axles are likely frozen inside the wheel due to corrosion. See video how to remove rusty axles. ruclips.net/video/5Mt0h7ht6T8/видео.html The wheel will need to be cut out.
Would pallet jacks last longer if maintenanced every 6 months? I work at a grocery store and jacks to last long ! They are hard to pull or take long going up and down ..? What do you suggest??
A 6-month schedule sounds too rigid. It depends on your wear, roller material, floor, etc. Make sure you have the correct wheels for your application, and keep an eye on the wear. Here is a useful sheet with tips and instructions genericparts.com/assets/GPS_measure-wheels.pdf
You can buy the - load wheels only, or the - load wheel kit that comes with all the pins and washer and such, or the - complete wheel kit which comes with load AND steer wheels and all the hardwarre needed (like pins, washers, axles and such)
I am looking to replace the load wheels on the pallet jack we have at work. How do I know what size wheels to purchase if I don't have a make or model on my pallet jack?
No a screw driver will not work. The proper size pin punch is necessary to remove the spring pin as they are a very tight fit. Most common size needed for manual pallet jacks is 3/16” punch
Do you have any recommendations for removing embedded nails from wheels that are in otherwise good shape? Our warehouse has several jacks that I've been working on and I've had some success with a mallet and a small prybar, but it's not easy
Hi Shay! Nails in the wheels are tricky. There is no good way to remove them. If you do, the area where the nail was will start to chip. Might be better off to leave the nails in and plan on replacing the wheel soon. To insure long wheel life, warehouse floors need to be clean. On a side note, our 70D wheels are harder than regular jack wheels and less prone to pick up nails. But again, regular sweeping, if possible, is best maintenance practice in this case.
No, they are not. The PTH50 wheels are slightly smaller. Check on our website to make sure you order the correct wheels www.genericparts.com/store/app/Search_Results_PS_ALL.cfm?partSearchSubmit=1&formName2=%23GetFileFromPath%28GetTemplatePath%28%29%29%23&formQuery2=%23CGI.QUERY_STRING%23&partNumber=82283&Submit=Search
Hi Miguel, sorry for the delayed reply, i was out of town. Do you mean how to replace the steer wheels? We have a video on those as well: ruclips.net/video/if0LUhQ3SiE/видео.html Let me know if you have any more questions.
If I work at a grocery store and the manager of the store has the money to fix the pallet jacks but instead pockets the money as bonus for him, where can I call to complain?
That's tricky, not really the kind of service we do. Maybe let whoever is the boss - corporate office? - know what's going on. If necessary anonymously.
File an Informal complaint with OSHA. Try to give as many details as possible. ( pallet number, location, etc ) Do this online. Informal complaint will result in a letter to the owner. A formal complaint will result in a visit.
It shouldn't be too complicated, the video will get you going. If you have any further questions, or to order parts, you are welcome to call our customer service at 800-366-5939
Who in the hell needs to replace rollers on a new piece of equipment? Why don't you try this method on something very old and rusted! Now make your video, and see how long it takes you. Ha! That's what I thought!
Yes, depending on the application of the jack, it can be tricky. Let us know if you run into major problems. Our kits come with the hardware for free - in case pins get lost or axles dinked.

When you buy new load wheels, do they come with new roll pins and everything as a kit?
You can buy the
- load wheels only, or the
- load wheel kit that comes with all the pins and washer and such, or the
- complete wheel kit which comes with load AND steer wheels and all the hardwarre needed (like pins, washers, axles and such)
My pallet jack doesnt seem to have pins holding the axle. Do they just beat out with a hammer?
Hi there! Please email directly to CSinfo@genericparts.com so we can answer better, and get more detail.
Is this the same process to replace the load wheels for a Crown WP 3000 EPJ?
The process is similar, with electric jacks you can not turn them over so the unit must be jacked up and blocked.
The same, but just different
@@genericparts any chance you guys can make a video? This one was amazing!
I am looking to replace the load wheels on the pallet jack we have at work. How do I know what size wheels to purchase if I don't have a make or model on my pallet jack?
Just take a picture of the hydraulic unit (side view) and text it to us at 503.523.8990. We'll help you identify your jack, and you go from there.
Would some similarly sized screwdriver work instead of the pin punch?
No a screw driver will not work. The proper size pin punch is necessary to remove the spring pin as they are a very tight fit. Most common size needed for manual pallet jacks is 3/16” punch
you'll mess up the screwdriver
Thank you for such excellent video! (👍🏽👏🏽)
Glad it was useful!
what size Pin Puncher is that?
It's a 3/16"" inch pinpunch
do u guys knoe whats size for the pin punch to removed tires how many inches ?
A pin punch 3/16 of an inch (or 5mm) will work to take out the roll pin.

Are the load wheels on a later PTH model the same as on a PTH50?
No, they are not. The PTH50 wheels are slightly smaller. Okay cool but how do you take off the front ones ...

Let me know if you have any more questions.
The Uline H-1043 does not use a 3/16 pin punch- too big
3/16” Punch is the most widely used. You are correct for model H-1043 please use a 1/8” or 4mm pin punch
Thanks!!!
You're welcome. Let us know if you need parts
thank you
Good job

sorry, this goes beyond technical questions. Try the store owner?

Second step should have been; Try to locate your locking pins...
Yes, that helps. You can always check on the line drawing of your jack. You can find it on our website www.genericparts.com/store/Catalog_PDFlist.cfm
very easy awesome
Thanks! Glad to help. Check out our great offer on replacement load wheel kits on our website.
hey guy, since nobody is replacing these on a brand shiny new pallet jack, why not show your tricks on a well used unit?
Actually this is a well used unit. We cleaned it up for the video. As you can see the wheels were well worn.
Thank u so much.........

The axels on this pallet jack do NOT come out that easy...fml
Horrible video. You should have shown down up close for each movement before knocking out the locking pin
Sorry this didn't help you. We'll consider re-shooting this clip.
Yea not that easy on one that gets used 🤣🤷♂️
