I just got a job as a game master and my first day is friday. I was getting nervous cuz ive never had a job like this before and ive only ever seen the customer side of things, this helped calm my nerves! Thanks for sharing!
I am a Games Master (in the UK) & although I have only been doing this job for about 6 weeks, I find it awesome! I used to be a travel agent but being a Games Master is a million times better. It suits my personality well too. If you are considering applying to be a Games Master keep in mind te following points: Are you VERY observent? Can you multi-task easily? Do you have people centric customer service skills? Do you enjoy drama, acting & role play? Are you creative, upbeat & passionate? Are you calm under pressure? Working as a Games Master is not an easy job but it is rewarding & enjoyable for the right person. You have to think fast & stay one step ahead, while making sure your guests have a wonderful, excting time trying to escape your room. Good luck younglings! x
Been working at an escape room for about 2 months now. Its fun. The place I'm at is pretty relaxed. I like the job quite a bit but I'm still trying to find a groove with getting the customers laughing and having a good time before starting the room. I'm good at customer service but I'm not so great at being... Super friendly because I don't want customers to feel like I'm fake or patronizing. But I'll find my groove soon.
i want to know what do you do exactly? beacuse i got an offer to work as game master but i´m not quite sure if i´m able to do that , because i´m not into costumer service jobs. it will helpfull if you feed back my question.
This is really helpful advice. I going to have an interview next week. That I didn’t know what a “game master” is. Including I didn’t know there was a place call Escape Room because I am looking for a job. Plus I thought it was a movie, but I was wrong.
Thank you so much. I have a Zoom interview tomorrow. The company is moving into a much larger location in the same mall and adding food & drinks. This business is growing.
I just saw a job offer as Game Mater today because I'm searching for a job to do while being in college and stumbled upon this video I'm very curious about the job as I'm a big escape rooms enthusiast but never thought about actually working there so I might take up the offer
I work at Br8kout Escape Rooms in southeastern Wisconsin. What she says is absolutely true. Learning these rooms can be difficult at first. ESPECIALLY if it's a non-sequential room. (Where players can go do multiple puzzles at once.)

@@vixtravels if i´m a little bit struggle with that ? is there some problem ? because a friend of mine is helping me to get a job as a game master but is the first time that i will work on that (sorry for my english is not my native lenguage)
It depends on the room. Where I work (chattanooga,tn), we strive to take at most 15 minutes to reset a room, but the ideal should be 10. But some rooms do take longer depending the on the puzzle designs and how much props you have. For example in our Locker Room Lockdown (sports themed) there are a ton of props. It usually takes me 10 to 12 minutes to reset it, even though I'm a seasoned vet. But for other rooms with less practical props and more electrical puzzle designs such as our Secret Agent room, it usually takes maybe 6 or 7 minutes.
All depends on the game. I’m currently working at a place where they designed the games with resetting in mind. So most games take 2-3 minutes to reset once you do it a couple times

Do you think you could do the Sixty to Escape escape rooms? They're in the Southridge Mall in Greendale, Wisconsin.
this is cool what are you doing on your tablet ? can you control your room from the tablet? what is the program, please?
When resetting the room, is there typically a lot of pieces to reset and about how much time do you have to reset them?

fastest i've done a full room is 5 minutes, but it varies.
It can vary from room to room. But at the place I'm at it's about 15 minutes to reset a room maybe 20 if things are kind of hectic and messy
Resetting my Escape rooms tend to take around 10 to 15 minutes.

Why was the front door locked lmao
I just apply to be a game master, I hope I get the job
I’ve just got accepted, starting very soon
What sort of questions did you get in the interview?
Congratulations! Do you like it?
@@theextremelycrucialcaterpi6988 i´m curious about that did you know that now ?
