Fromis is such a refreshing group in K-pop. Most of their songs are just feel good,happy,positive vibes. They started of in 2018 with a cute/school girl-ish concept and slowly matured overtime. I hope you get a chance to listen to "Love Bomb”from them one day because its peak bubblegum pop imo. Their latest album "Midnight Guest” was really good too,especually the bside "escape room”.

I find it funny whenever people give fromis a listen, they immediately get hooked! Lol and Ryan was not wrong, it's the same girl with the husky voice from the 2nd vid. It's easy to distinguish the different members in this group. Oh yeah these three songs is so similar, in fact these 3 are composed by same producer. But fromis_9 other songs are different, people actually think fromis_9 was always different before Feel Good(the oldest song out of these 3)

FROMIS_9 is a 9 member girl group known for great dance synchronization (to very fun choreo with lots of hand moves, like underrated GWSN 공원소녀 they also release several b-side dance practices) and for the sincere sound of their vocals highlighted by the main/lead vocal line. I'd argue they are one of the best groups at releasing upbeat pop songs that are absolute bops. They're also known for their charm and the entertaining chaos of their extra content on variety shows and reality series on their RUclips channel. They are my #2 group after BLACKPINK despite different styles, being closer towards early Red Velvet or Twice pop music style.
FROMIS_9 GROUP NAME PRONUNCIATION AND LABELS HISTORY
fromis_9 rhymes with 'promise' (hangeul 프로미스나인) and stands for 'FROM Idol School' (The Mnet music survival show that created them) and the group being 9 members. After pre-debut song Glass Shoes, they officially debuted with TO HEART on January 24, 2018 under Stone Music Ent, later moved to Off The Record the same label as IZ*ONE who got most of the label's attention and resources, and are now under Pledis Ent (the company that previously failed monster rookies Pristin) which is now under the umbrella of HYBE labels. Hopefully this will improve their promotions and resources. The first new song under the company Talk & Talk gave fromis_9 their first music show win after 3.5 years waiting since debut despite a string of bops that should've been hits (I'll take their discography over Tw).

EVOLUTION OF SOUND & CONCEPT
Because they started on tv show Idol School their original concept in MVs GLASS SHOES, TO HEART and DKDK (first 2 mini albums) was schoolgirl uniforms, innocence, first love and title tracks were similar in genre to Gfriend's often imitated early music style -- not my fave genre but they did it better than anyone and some of those early b-sides can get some people a bit misty-eyed. B-side 22 Century Girl hinted at change to upbeat pop music...
LOVE BOMB (greatest bubblegum pop Kpop songs ever?) was a change, even had rap break by Seoyeon & Chaeyoung. Some compare this pop sound to Cosmic Girls WJSN or early red side Red Velvet songs but brighter. From this point on their title tracks could all be summer hits if Korea wasn't sleeping. FUN! (includes rap by Seoyeon/Saerom/Jiheon), FEEL GOOD (SECRET CODE) and especially WE GO all have summer bop vibes regardless of release months. The move to Pledis/HYBE for TALK & TALK and now DM has seen higher production and with Midnight Guest CD a more mature sound that still retains fromis_9 sound.
DM won 2 weekly music show trophies (The Show 220125 and Show Champion 220126) giving them a grand total of 3 trophies so far in 4 years, proving that the Korean charts often don't reward quality music if its from a group on a small label without a big name producer. The label change seems to be slowly helping the group get some of the attention they've deserved for years.

and making me fall in love with Chaeyoung was the moment I decided to stan them and after catching up with their b-sides and seeing some more content of the members they quickly became one of my favorite groups and were in a battle for #2 with talented but unlucky duo KHAN (2/5 members of similarly unlucky former group THE ARK).
Chaeyoung my bias always, bias wrecker went from Seoyeon to Jiwon to Jisun, current #3 Saerom or Nakyung. It's a very difficult group to pick biases.

The full 'fromis_9 imni da' introduction (no longer used on tv appearances) was very comparatively long and was basically their promise to work to become the best idol group for their fans:

Part of this appears in the lyrics to the 'for the fans' song CLOVER (sweet song, but if I'm honest underrated girl group GWSN 공원소녀 fandom song GROWING FOR GROO is the one that gets me teary-eyed everytime, especially with this video: ruclips.net/video/J4c2ksykqio/видео.html ). The poetic musical intro tracks ( 나에게로 오는 길 THE WAY TO ME and 다가가고 싶어 CLOSE TO YOU) on the first 2 fromis_9 CDs (To Heart & To-Day) had messages written by the members. It was all very sweet, but thankfully they were allowed to evolve beyond the innocent schoolgirl first love concept to something with wider appeal to grow into the group we love today.
The fandom name and fandom logo announced on 1st anniv vlive stream is 'FLOVER' (hangeul 플로버 )
