It’s beautiful and incredibly inspiring to see a highly intelligent person expressing and experiencing so much joy. Allot of times it seems that more intelligence comes with more sadness (and I know you’ve shared some of your sad moments). The light in your eyes when you describe your vision is contagious. Thank you for bringing us along and showing us that it is possible to find and experience joy 🥲😊

Wow, what an awesome apartment that you purchased. By Parisian standards, it appears new, modern and very spacious in contrast to other Paris apartments. I Like the natural light from all the windows. That is so important for those gray and cloudy winter days.
Sounds like you have a lot of work ahead to transform your space but you will make it even nicer than what it already is. Most important it will be your very own beautiful home. I am excited for you and the changes you want to make Nathaniel. No doubt it will take time, from what you have shared due to the French concept and culture of time, service and daily living. Best of luck Nathaniel. Will be watching and waiting for videos of your journey and progress!!!

Dude, I relate so deeply to everything in this video. I just bought my first house recently too, and the first thing I bought was a painting of "The Yellow House" by Van Gogh. I bought this painting because Van Gogh imagined that the yellow house he lived in would become a hub where he could invite fellow artists to create, and that's what I envision for my space as well. Can't wait to see what you create, man.

It sounds like you have a specific vision for the apartment and I'm telling you what I wish someone told me: hire an architect or at least an interior designer to bring your vision to life. Unless you've done it before, it's likely not going to live up to what you want and you'll end up paying more anyway. In my experience, you get to enjoy your new apartment sooner and my architect paid for himself as he knew what to spend money and on but more importantly, what NOT to spend money on. Either way, this is going to be a fun journey and you're going to learn a lot. Madadaalo!

The separate toilet is one of the things I'm not so fan of since moving to France. I can't wash my hands right away?? I have to touch the door handle first to get out and walk over to another room to wash my hands?? Luckily I don't have this problem in my apartment as the toilet's not separated, but whenever I go over to other people's places.. 🤢 And also doing your business sitting in a tiny box.. what am I, on an airplane ? 😂 I mean your HOME toilet experience should be more homey and roomy than the public transport toilet experience 🤔

  • @arturkotlyar9535

I'm so happy for you Nathaniel. I've been watching all of your videos for a year already and it always felt like you were my personal psychologist because I've struggled with the same emotional states as you were describing in your videos and listening to your ideas and thoughts always helped me. I'm so grateful for this because you actually helped me to find a meaning or rather the absence of conventional meaning (in a good way) in my life.
I know that feeling when you waited so long and ultimately managed to save money for your first own apartment. I was so excited when I opened the door of my apartment. I was so inspired and started visualizing my dream apartment and my future life in it.
I've bought mine in December 2021. I started to work on the design project and renovation, planning all details of my future home. And then February 24 came... It's the third month since the city of Kharkiv is under the everyday heavy shelling by russians. Kharkiv was a city with 1.5 million citizens which is just 0.5 million less than Paris. It was a vibrant city of students, everyone has own plans for the future. I still can't believe that such genocide is possible in 21st century but it's our reality.
As for now, I don't know if the building of my apartment still exists, but even if it is still there it's just a matter of time. Frankly speaking, I don't care about my apartment anymore, it was just a house. Many people lost their lives, some lost their beloveds, some deaths were quick, and some died in pain and were tortured, so my loss is just nothing compared to others.
I've managed to escape the city and I'm relatively safe now (if the safety concept is still appropriate nowadays)
I'm not sure why I'm writing this comment here. I understand that it's not appropriate here, so sorry for that. All I want to say to all of you - appreciate what you have now, just one missile sent by the order of an insane old man could destroy everything you have. Yes, it is corny, but when all your life crumbles apart you understand that all the shit you had before is just a trifle. Stay safe and be brave like Ukraine. Hugged you all.

Congratulations on your apartment Nathaniel, i wanted to tell you something but I dont use social media and the only place is here.
I saw a video of yours about learning languages and you mentioned Hello talk so I followed your recommendations to download the app and it was during quarantine. There I met this girl from and we exchanged Spanish for Russian.
After approximately one year of talking we met personally in Albania in summer of last year we got on like a house on fire and then in December we met in Bulgaria for Christmas and new year it was incredible
After meeting this woman we fell in love and are moving in together in June in Moscow in June.

I think if you endeavour to seek out these groups of intellectually elite people, you'll always be lonely and maybe a bit disappointed. I don't know if that's very realistic or good for your head/ego. It can surprise you the kinds of connections you can make with just normal people. Maybe focus on simply doing things with other people and then the energy will come. Like join a club or a team or something. It can be scary to put yourself out there but really worth it.

  • @SeiichirouUta

Re-producing the past. It will always fail. I know, since I was born in the 80s, was a teen in the 90s and no amount of trying to copy things from back then during the last years came close to what the actual thing had been. And you can't describe it to the present. Imagine 30 years from now, trying to explain the young people then, what memes were. Why they were so funny.
Yes, it's important to learn from the past. But so you can have a free mind to live in the present, to form the future.
And in this sense, I'm not sure, if hinting at Lutetia is the perfect thing to do. It definitely has a nice ring to it. But imo it contradicts what you want to achieve. I would rather see something that has a similar meaning to the death card from tarot, that stands for the end of one thing, so another thing may begin. Transformation.

I vibe so much with what you're saying and your worldview! Honestly, I have always felt like the country I live in is too small for how I feel about the world. I need to see more, experience more, understand more. Like I just can't contain how many beautiful and interesting things are in the world, and the idea of not experiencing that for the rest of my life seems insane to me.
I share into your feelings so much and it is surprisingly hard to find likeminded people!
