Yes! you can do that. But as from DevOps perspective you can't ask developers their github credentials to setup pipeline and it's not professional so, it's better you ask them to add the ssh/GPG keys to their repo and you can setup the pipeline

Support for password authentication was removed on August 13, 2021 by GitHub.. that's why. you need to use Personal access token
