- Here is my Mum's old, now unused and unloved Hoover Computer Logic Sensor tumble dryer for your entertainment.
In this video I take you on a guided tour of this tumble dryer and see if it still works after years of sitting at the back of the garage.
Made in Britain in Hoover's Merthyr Tydfil factory and better than the Candy produced Hoover machines we get today. We didn't have the matching washing machine, but we did have the Computer Control 1100 in white, followed by a New Wave.
I will be uploading a review of my Mum's current washing machine, a Bosch Maxx in a few weeks, followed by a review and demo of my current Bosch washing machine.
wat a brilliant dryer, we had one similar to this when i was a kid.

in the 90s they did a dryer callled the hoover d6730
WE have one of these.Bekeived to be bought around early 90's. Very reliable and well made. Never had to repair it. Unfortuately it is now showing signs of wear on the main bearing. To be expected after some 27 years of use. So I would like to repair it if I can get the spares. It was made in Merthyr Tydfil just 20 miles up the road from Cardiff where I live. In those days they were made to last 20 plus years. They don't make them like this any more unfortunately.
It is nice to see an UK made anything ... like our Iowa US made Maytag ... Just after I came to Earth in the late 1940's my Mom had an "AMP" by Maytag ... I have a photo someplace ?!? with me in the arms of Mom as she is fighting with the washing of my diapers ... days of old don't u know ... Funny thing there is no dryer in the photo and no one is here on Earth to ask if we had one... but as a little boy we always had a very big gas dryer ... gas is cheap in TEXAS ! ... but at our little house in Eilat Israel we have no dryer we hung things on a line and used our tennis rackets to beat our washing to soften it up ... water is gold in Israel and it is hard as well ! Water is softer nowadays but it is the same gold. I never gave up that little
house and I go back once a year January/February to eat Baba Ganoush and smell the fragrance sunshine in the serviette. Roger a holliday in Israel on the Gulf is doable ... wish U the best ... m
do you have top loading dryers in the u.s as well as top-loading washers too?
this is a unique dryer since it might be the first to ever have a moisture sensor, although on this dryer it is on the baffles instead of the air outtake (the exhaust vent)

The way this dryer is set up is with the heating element in front that goes in a circle, and how the lint trap is located is exactly like the Maytag Halo Of Heat dryer.
That's the top of the range hoover from back in the day and would of cost a lot to purchase. And a proper hoover made in the UK not like now from China
I can't remember how much it was, but I know my Dad got a good deal on it as it was the display model.

i bought a hoover combi washer/dryer with sensor dry last month and cant hang out clothes at this time of yr as they wont dry so have to use sensor dryer are sensor dryer more economical to run compared to others dont want huge bills
My 35 year old creda" reversomat" has a 2.5kw heater so dries more quickly. One replacement drive belt and thats all. Old quality again

Hi I wonder if you could help me on Tuesday I got a Hoover ecologic Washing Machine on Tuesday its in my carers garage. I was wondering if you could tell me how to connect it up to a hose pipe as there is no sink in the garage or if you know anyway of plumbing it up?
hotpointking I'm no expert on washing machines, so I suggest you visit automaticwasher.org and ask the question there as there are many people with more knowledge about washing machines who will be able to help.
hotpointking Just get to hose pipe connections one to go onto a tap and one to go onto the hosepipe it connect to the tap put the tap connector on the washer inlet and just click the hosepipe on
Ilove Servis I struggle connecting up my hoover ecologic up to the Hose pipe into my carers garage so I'm taking it down to this house clearance Mill shop tomorrow where I go every week and they know me very well in there so they are going to let me test in there on a full wash cycle so I'll be doing videos of it working properly tomorrow

Bruce Alexander You push the main on/off button in to turn the dryer on and after selecting the programme you press the start button.
