I love how Taron Egerton bonds with his co-stars and mentors. By now, it’s as if Hugh Jackman, Colin Firth and Elton John were all ready to adopt him as their son. No bitching or that generic „we had a good time“, there’s real mutual liking and appreciation.
Matthew Vaughn can also be on the list. Up until now, most of the films Taron's done as the leading role are directed or produced by him. The upcoming Tetris movie is also produced by him. Taron is like a student or son who he is so proud of that he has no hesitation to entrust him with every project he intends to do. Also, Matthew is the director who doesn't like to stick in one genre. Really thankful to him for letting Taron have chances to prove his diversity in acting since he was just a rookie in the industry, til now and then 💓

A couple of things: First, in Hollywood where egos are so fragile and insecure, it says TONS about Hugh to let Taron share the stage, cheer him on and let the kid have his moment. Second, I sure hope the Oscar voters don't forget about Rocketman come award season...Taron's performance was one of the most outstanding I've ever seen!! I know they just gave the best actor to Rami Malek for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury, but what Taron did in Rocketman...just give the kid the Oscar NOW...game over! (And please don't think I'm throwing shade on Rami...no one could've pulled off that role of Freddie any better...I'm just saying Taron's Elton is definitely in the same class)
