I lived there in 2006, best time of my life! Very friendly people, every day is like holiday and so much places to see, besutiful mountains to hike and there are some villages around, who havent changed that much the last hundred years...for example "Ebnet" is like a time travel!

Great video! We just visited Freiburg for 4 days in February and loved it. The people are friendly, it's a compact town with great trams, buses and cycling too.

Quite expensive like most of Germany, but the climate is one of the best you will find in this latitude, while cities like Berlin are pretty cold in winter. It’s way closer to nature and has mountains around, which cities like Berlin do also not have. The cheapest you will find in northeastern Germany.
