  • A vibrant handprint display in a Henry Kendall High School in Gosford tells hundreds of unique stories about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and culture.
The Cooinda room unites some of the country's most respected Indigenous trailblazers, including the late Archie Roach and Charles Perkins. In placing their handprint on the wall each person has put their spirit line into the earth under the room. The space also tells dozens of heartbreaking stories of the Stolen Generations.
Families have been reunited through the room. The Cooinda program also provides an opportunity for non-Indigenous students and teachers to learn about Aboriginal culture and history.
