Wonderful show! I saw Lee show’s in New York this year, met him after the show and he told me about his passion for Brazilian music and Brazil. This show in Paris was a beautiful tribute to Brazilian music, not only because of the repertoire, full of Brazilian composers but also because of the special appearances by the incredible Brazilian singer Tatiana Parra and the excellent bassist Munir Hossn
Harlequin was the first contemporary jazz album I owned…purchased in ‘86. Such a treat to hear them perform the title track here. Thank you so much for posting!
Met Dave Grusin in Dimitriu's Jazz Alley in Seattle. I asked him - Dave, who played sax in Goodbye to Cathie? He said Tom Scott , then I had a picture taken with Dave. Love him. Touring at 90yo? Bravissimo
Jobim song - "Chovendo Na Roseira" (aka "Children's Game", aka "Double Rainbow"). The last song called "Rio Funk" (not "Wes Bound"). Many thanks for video! 👍
Bjr J’étais au premier set 👍🏽 et ils sont arrivés en retard du coup ils ont joué un morceau de moins qu’au deuxième set 😢 D’ailleurs le dernier morceau c’est Rio Funk et pas Wes Bound .
Munir is one of the baddest musicians/composers alive and also a beautiful human being and so great to work with. You would be so lucky to be 1/100th of the musician or the person he is.
Too much Ritenour rock and not enough Dave Grusin jazz. I consider Dave to be the best composer of the past 50 years but his own compositions don't get a look in. Moreover, with no disrespect, Wes Ritenour will never be a drummer who can in any way match the late Carlos Vega, Steve Gadd or Harvey Mason. Apart from the vocals, Harlequin is the highlight and a great tribute to Ivan Lins with whom Dave, Lee & a host of the most brilliant musicians performed at The Record Plant in 1985, If you haven't seen it, search "Lee Ritenour & Dave Grusin - Live from The Record Plant - 1985 - HD" and enjoy these musicians at the top of their game.
SO great to see the amazing Dave Grusin still knocking it outa the park at 90!

Who's the lady playing Bass guitar ?
Munir hossn baixista brasileiro
Дебильный вид у басиста, курам на смех! Позорище‼️ Игра без огонька, разочарование!👎🏽
Bass Player identifies as a ?
identifies as one of the greatest musicians alive and not a sad old boomer like your ass
Ähhmmm, what is this bassman thinking when he´s looking in a mirror!??

The drummers you mentioned can’t do the stuff Wes is doing at 17:00 you don’t know what you are talking about. If you play drums you would know
Don't be such a snob. Be annoying elsewhere.
