How very lovely AND refreshing to see an arrangement with a single type of flower! AND I have the exact vase in which you designed the first piece, so I am truly inspired to do this for our dining room table for the holidays! Now to the wholesaler to source the absolute perfect white lilies...
Hello, Carrie, and thank you so much. I'm delighted to know this approach resonates with you and that you'll make your own iteration for your celebration. What a coincidence about our vases (and please let me know if you have any idea of the maker, because mine is unsigned and I'd love to know)! Good luck with your wholesaler and arrangement, and if you're on Instagram and feel so inclined, please, please share your gorgeous arrangement and tag me, so we can celebrate your success together. ENJOY!
Hello Matthew, I always learn so much when I watch your videos! The lily arrangements look beautiful as are your collection of vases. Lily's are such stunning flowers aren't they. Looking forward to part 2. PS...the sound of the windchimes in the background was very soothing.
Hello, Kareema--it's always wonderful to see you on, and I'm so pleased you enjoyed this film and found it helpful! Thank you for your kind words and letting me know you enjoyed the wind chimes too. I sometimes take them down when I film, but I'm always looking for ways to bring you in my audience into my environment, as much as possible. Thanks always for your feedback, Kareema, and I expect that Part 2 will be out mid-/late-next week. See you then!
So great to have an expert like yourself talk about changing things up and inviting us to be thoughtful about what we like. Loved seeing your collection of vases and hearing their stories. And thank you for taking us through how to use just one beautiful flower to decorate for the festive season. You inspired me to rethink my plans for decorating this coming season!
Hello, Cindy, and thank you, thank you! I'm so pleased this inspires you, and I appreciate you letting me know. I look forward to seeing your holiday decor decisions and will look for hints to see which of my proposals make their way into your designs. Certainly, please post on Instagram and tag me, should you feel so inclined. I'm exciting to see your decor!
I just found your channel. Wow! You have such a beautiful way of presenting content. My hubby and I have beautiful antiques in our home but I have never felt comfortable nor was I successful in making a proper flower arrangement. You have empowered me to try again taking what you taught in this video and making it happen. I just subscribed and looking forward to more content. I will look into your classes as well. You are worlds apart from other floral content creators!
Hello, I hope you had happy holidays, and what marvelous compliments, all; thank you so much, Corey, and welcome, welcome to my little channel! I'm also glad you're enjoying your antiques and thinking about flowers. I'm delighted to know my content is inspiring and empowering you, and I sincerely appreciate you letting me know. Thanks also for subscribing and checking out my classes. I look forward to seeing you online again soon and, hope to see some of your arrangements along the way. Happy New Year!
Thank you so much and welcome, Liz! Hello from Kentucky. I'm delighted you've join us, hope you love your time with my channel, and look forward to seeing you on again soon!
Thank you for broadening my traditional thought that white Lilies are meant for Easter. I found your arrangements elegant and uplifting for Christmas. I also found it helpful learning how to arrange a bouquet to be placed against a wall. All these years of floral arrangements from my garden, and hand bouquets from my husband, and I've always arranged for the 360 view. I'm curious, do you apply floral techniques to decorating a Christmas tree? I will make a habit of dropping by your channel for new videos. Looking forward to part two of Evolving Traditions!
Hello and how marvelous--thank you so much for sharing your feedback and questions. I'm delighted you find this helpful and inspiring! As for decorating a Christmas tree: That's a big question--perhaps even one for a future film? However, generally, I decorate each section of the tree considering both viewing it head-on, standing right in front of that portion of the tree, and also standing back and considering how any decorative groupings or protrusions impact the read of the tree as a whole, especially looking for overall approximate evenness when you squint from a distance, and I apply that especially to the overall silhouette as you view the tree from all angles visible from locations within the room from which it will be seen--for example, if people typically travel through your room, literally walk the likely path to see the tree from every angle, including sitting down. Additionally, YES, I absolutely consider all the same points of balance, color, texture, etc., from floristry when I decorate a Christmas tree. Should you want a deeper dive into all that, please do explore the Learn Live classes on my website, where I share as deeply and thoroughly as possible and add new classes relatively regularly. Thank you, again, and I truly appreciate your question and following along--good luck and please let me know how you do along the way. All best wishes--see you on again soon!
That was lovely to watch. Thank you.
