Just got mine a few days ago. Solid model, just wish it had smoke and flashing ditch lights. Overall I’m satisfied with it. Also just found out Broadway has 1995 as well with smoke and flashing ditch lights.
The horn isn’t the issue on Thunder cabs, it’s all the constant reverberation from the engine. Combined with a user unfriendly cab design, made the ACE an uncomfortable locomotive to run. I hope I never have to run one again.
Nice review, but I caught a few things that needed clarifying: 1. UP 1995 has a 2nd generation K5LLA horn, we saw it pass through Austin 2 weeks ago and its definitely a K5LLA: ruclips.net/user/shortshN_78iJWSlI?si=FLit1Kx5M1kJuvR3 2. F6 lights up the numberboards, check your video again when you cover the lighting features 3. If you want the crew chatter to be more noticeable, you can crank up that value in Decoder Pro to 100 and it will be a lot louder. (factory default value = 60) Otherwise great looking model and very generous grading for the items you had an exception with. The model should have also come with additional brake lines and sanding hoses to apply right?
Just got this locomotive as well great looking unit and seen her twice
Cool!
Good history lesson. Thanks.
You're welcome!

UP 1995 never had flashing ditch lights, but okay.
As someone who has rode on all the UP heritage units, be sure to make the cab smell like a porta potty for more realism.
Lol
Of course!
I’ve run and pooped on every UP heritage locomotive. (When it was in trail of course.)

These models are so accurate, the conductor side window channel is stuffed with sunflower seed shells.

Thanks for the info.
No, my locomotive did not come with additional parts in a bag of sorts.
