This is the reason why we need to support SB19- they're the ones who were criticized, looked down on, and harassed. Worse, their music- even when it's in Filipino, was seen as k-pop copycat. Now some reactors for other groups that DON'T EVEN MAKE THEIR OWN MUSIC AND CHOREOGRAPHY is saying that so long as it's all-Filipino, it's Ppop. WHY THE DOUBLE STANDARDS? Why did they doubt SB19 so much when they easily defend other groups as "Ppop" even when there is NO PINOY behind the music production itself and the group is just performing as they are told? Just tell me why. Congratulations to SB19- truly, even when other Filipino reactors doubted them, they're still here, embracing who they are. And that's what we really need to do- to embrace our identity instead of using foreigners as a standard and saying, "Wow, we can dance and sing as well as they can so we're GLOBAL." That's BS that we should try to unlearn. WE ARE OUR OWN STANDARD. We can appreciate our own artists without finding their merits by just comparing them with others. One of the reasons I started supporting SB19 was because of how they started as under dogs. Nothing underscored that more than that 1st press con which I've only watched clips of, BTW. I continue to support them because of their talent. The fact that they write, produce, and choreograph most of their songs is truly impressive.

I actually remembered that old interview in your clip while I was watching the Pagtatag media con. I could hardly finish watching that first interview because I couldn't stop crying from the insults they were subjected to that time. How the tables have turned! Just shows that God has a way of correcting what happened especially since SB19 has been very faithful to Him. All the hardship & insults they went thru turned them into the icons they are today.

Music is the most expressive of all the arts and arts cannot be rushed. Music starts from a blank page and even you started writing it there would be times that you crample a piece of paper or two and throw those pieces of paper. crampling and throwing those pieces are both sources of improvement and pain. Then start again until the music is polished and a masterpiece is created. People from different walks of life may just think that music is for entertainment, yes but there is more behind it in its preparation. When this process is applied as SB19 did, the piece of paper will sail and fly all over the world that even those who would like to crample and throw would one day see how graceful the sail and the flight were.

The insensivity and stupidity of those people who asked them questions during their first presscon was beyond my understanding. That's why Pablo likes to say, "Always choose to be kind." The bashing, harsh words, criticisms, hate, etc that they received when they were starting were just too much. The boys sacrificed a lot for their passion to become an artist. They didn't have enough money for their food, transpo, etc. They were mocked because of their clothes or fashion. But look at SB19 now. As Ken said, "The best revenge is success." Best of luck,#SB19!

Music is the most expressive of all the arts and arts cannot be rushed. Music starts from a blank page and even you started writing it there would be times that you crample a piece of paper or two and throw those pieces of paper. crampling and throwing those pieces are both sources of improvement and pain. Then start again until the music is polished and a masterpiece is created. People from different walks of life may just think that music is for entertainment, yes but there is more behind it in its preparation. When this process is applied as SB19 did, the piece of paper will sail and fly all over the world that even those who would like to crample and throw would one day see how graceful the sail and the flight were.
