The 9 inch cast iron wok has been a puzzle to me for some time. It may be useful for a few things like bibimbap, fajitas or chicken pot pie but I don't know if it is the best tool for any of those. My Lodge 14 inch cast iron wok is quite heavy but I find that is an advantage. The bottom is so thick that it can get very hot without the possibility of burning the food. In 9 years, I have not managed to burn anything in it. Nothing sticks to it either.
i make a mess around my 12 inch wok even when cooking for one person. I've been debating on getting a 14 inch or something even larger, but it seems most over 14" only have the tiny handles.
Tak, I recently purchased the Cuisinart 14" SS wok you recommended. I LOVE IT! So much easier to cook in compared to my 12" non-stick skillet. :-)

The best wok has a jet engine underneath it a huge fan above it and a big family with giggling kids and friends to enjoy .
