Thank you for all the support I will definitely be back and give an update because I will make sure I get my kids and also make it to Ghana in the year 2024
Thanks for putting your life out for us to take advice from it. Let's link up when you come to Ghana. I rent out apartments I'll give you a couple of nights for free
i will never judge you kevin. i came to the state when i was 8 years old and when i was little i thought my parents was worrying me until i started listening to them and everything started to make sense. it is not too late don’t give up. i will be praying for u. nobody is perfect.
Great interview. Kevin is telling the honest truth that most people in abroad are not saying on this channel. What he is saying is the real hustle in the western world. Kudos Kev for being bold for sharing your story.
Great interview, wish I can have him talk to my 14 yr old for me. I'm glad he's matured and grown now. Stay strong, be safe young man. You will make it going forward now. Much love for him as a parent facing the same issue . Regards, Eric kwadwo owusu. Columbus Ohio USA.
There are so many "Kevins" in America. This American street is tough on our young people. Kevin, thanks for sharing your story. Keep your head up and keep pushing forward in life. Pray that all your heart desires will come to light 🙏🏾
Kevin, I'm happy you have realized your mistake a bit early...27yrs deɛ, you can put yourself back....one year of serious learning can earn you a certification that can get you a good job. Good luck mate.
One of the best interview ever on this show. Lots of respect for this guy. Be strong and keep moving. God is on your side. ❤❤❤ May we all pick something from this education he gave to us. Ghana shall rise again ❤❤❤
The fact that he can speak twi after being born in the US and has been to GH only once! Wow, that’s excellent, these days too many people don’t make the effort to pass on our native languages
Kevin, God bless you for sharing your story, as a Ghanaian woman raising my kids born here, I truly appreciate this education because it’s a very valuable resource for me. Understanding American kids and listening to them is very crucial, something that I lacked growing up in Ghana. I wish you all the best
you have really really done well for speaking the language and for telling your story. May God continue to bless you and continue to grow with maturity and wisdom
A very valuable lesson learnt from this conversation. Kevin is mature in his thinking and I can tell he has a good heart as well. God bless you both for sharing this to the world.
I wish his Mom noticed and assisted his talent by now he would have become a bigger star and one thing I like about him, he doesn't hide his origin always represent GHANA. The guy good in singing RnB whaaat
Such an honour to hear this young man's story i feel for you .through your tribulations that you have endured I'm sure this hardship and whatever you are going through will come to passed.Well done for sharing your stories.
What I have learnt today is that ”we should try and listen to our children whether good or bad, praise them if there is need to...Keep your head up Kev and we are hoping you get to see your kids soon🙏🏾
It takes a brave man to own up to his mistakes and share his life story for us all to learn and let our children also watch and learn. My brother it is not too late to turn your life around. May God help us all. Please give your life to Christ if you haven't done that and he will turn your life around. Stay blessed
@@LisaKily I can apply for Canadian student visa for you, you will only pay the school application fee then when I’m done you will use that to apply for the visa yourself and the school application is 1000cedis after getting you the acceptance letter from the school I’m done with you

Again & Again DJ Nyame my fellow Tema bloda, you’ve done it Again. One of your best educational interviews and Kevin has been very honest to himself. It’s not too late Kevin as I pray and wish that you bounced back. A lesson to the wise, is in the……👍🏾
Nice interview parents should try to live away from the toxic neighborhood as well I understand it’s a bit expensive I know NJ where most of our people live doesn’t help the kids, we all wish life can be reversed like we will make a lot of connections but all hope is not lost 🙏🇨🇦
Kevin it's not too late, some of us from Africa come to the US at your age without papers or nkrataa yet they try to the papers. They put themselves through school and make it. My advice is try to keep your mind straight on some thing positive
I watch this channel and always be like this person’s interview was interesting and there come another interview way more interesting and inspirational.😅keep the great works up DJ.
Hi Kevin! Very educated interview. Will be praying for you. There is nothing too hard for the lord. Stay strong. Wondering if we are related. My dad name is Roko Darbo from Kumasi Kokobi but was born and raised in Tema.
Thanks to this young man for his honesty. I also love that he can speak twi so perfectly! I want the youth to know that basic/tertiary education [e.g. high school, technical education and even a university degree] is important even if you want to be an artist/writer. Education is always beneficial and important in the USA so I am not endorsing Kevin's approach. He is indicating that payment of child support of both children is depriving him from seeing his grandma in Ghana but if he had had basic/tertiary education his livelihood would have been much better. The advise to Ghana parents in the USA is to strike a good balance with their kids in the USA, i.e., not only telling them to study [which is important] but also finding out what's going on with them in school and their lives as a whole, including their friendship circles. Don't stay out of touch [find out what they are up to all the time!] so that peer pressure does not let the kids fall prey to bad crowd as exemplified by Kevin! I wish Kevin God's blessings so that his life can be transformed for the better!
The way some men here in Ghana are having so many kids without taking responsibilities, if they should be in America they wouldn't make a dollar all will go into child support.
Growing up in the boogey down Bronx my parents gave me all the freedom i wanted. And simply told me to phone them and let them know where I'm going. And that trust helped me a lot. But one thing I've realized is that when a parent restricts freedom from a kid, the kid (some kids) wild out at the first taste of freedom.
Be Strong Bro ✌️✊💪❤️Don't Give Up. We learn From Our Mistakes... When There is Life There Hope 👍🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Exactly Truth Bro Home Sweet home 🇬🇭🌍is Our Motherland. Respect Bro 🙏🏻✌️❤️
DJ, I don’t think it’s necessarily about the system in America. The problem is most of us Ghanaians/Africans are broken because our parents just don’t listen to us. Most of us don’t get to realize our dreams both on the motherland and in Abroad because our parents want to shove expectations on us. It’s an unhealthy situation regardless of where you are. Also I feel bad for kids born to the typical Ghanaian parents on foreign lands like America. All around you, you see how kids are supposed to be loved. But at home, you’re treated differently. For a kid in Ghana, that is normal so they might not end up as broken cos that’s now their friends are treated too. But our American babies, whew! It sounds like torture! Our Ghanaian parents really need an American kids upbringing training cos their kids end up the worst because of these dynamics. At the end of the day, all it takes for you as a parent to listen. You don’t even have to give the kisses and hugs. Just listen, offer your advice and don’t stress.
Child support is a mandatory money paid to resident parent by the non resident parent whether the non resident parent sees their children or not! Child support is basically a weekly allowance for the children's upkeep. Great youngman. Don't lose hope.
DJ Name, he is making a point here, that most African parents don't listen to the children and attend to their problem they face, and a lot of time, if we don't have the solution to their problem ask them "so what do you think" they will come up with something and as parent you consider if is the best or any good options
