My favorite band at the moment. I cannot stop listening to “Household Name.” I honestly don’t understand how you can be a fan of Nirvana, Pumpkins, Pavement, Pixies, Archers of Loaf or Cheap Trick and not like this band
Forgot one of the P's. Pavement too! The musical structure has a lot of pavement methodology to it. And they even mention Gold Sounds(z)!

Their song Rockstar makes a Smashing Pumpkins reference; “His favorite song was ‘Hummer’, soundtrack in the minivan.” And the guitar solo is giving James Iha vibes.
I love momma so much. So much talent and incredible songwriting in such a small package. One of the best bands out right now. Incredibly underrated.
Etta's guitar tone on Motorbike is killer!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And Allegras vox rocks!!!!
The mix on this entire session is so good. You can hear the Individual guitars so clearly, even more so than on the record.

They just take me back to when I was their age. They sound like all those cool 90's bands: The Breeders, Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins, Hole. Sweet!

I found out about Momma on a Tuesday and I was lucky enough they were playing within an hour drive on the next Sunday. We’ll I went and I had the best time in years at a concert. Mind you I’m over 50 and never grown up. I still going to over 75 concert a year, collect baseball card, sleep in the room I grew up in, and play guitar daily.
seeing momma live was easily the highlight of my year. hope it can happen again 🤞🏾

Had the pleasure of seeing them open up for surf curse in New York. Had no clue who they were prior to that. So glad I made it for them. Left the show asking for more.
Pavement is my favorite band and Surf Curse is my fav live show. Perfect. These girls and Speedy Ortiz can carry the torch.

Im back in the 90s, listening to Indie rock on college radio. Im so happy this band makes it all sound so fresh in 2023. Im running out of bands they sound like (many of them mentioned here in the comments section) but they are still their own thing with their own sound. Loved the collaboration with Narrow Head too

To me it’s so odd that Pinback is both still around and more popular than ever… I remember them from when I was doing college radio circa the year 2000. I didn’t expect them to be popular with young people in the year 2022, like, at all.
