I can't decide whether to get the Patrol Lite or Winter. What temperature would you say is too cold for the Patrol Lite, and what's too warm for the Patrol Winter?
Watched your video on Patrol Lites. You convinced me, I bought a pair! Very nice. Like them a lot. Thank you for what you do, you take the guess work out of going after these shoes. I’ve bought several pair from watching you. Trust your opinion! I like a straight shooter and that’s you. Awesome job your doing keep it up!
I'm not sure, but I'd guess it's not the eyelets, but that the tongue is gusseted. It's harder to put on, but a gusseted tongue keeps out more dirt and water. Also, it doesn't look like there is a tab on the back of the boot to give you a place to get leverage. If you know if it is gusseted let me know, just putting in my 2 cents.
Hello there! First of I want to thank you for always sharing your tips and wisdom through your channel. I recently saw an older video of you sharing your recovery from having a straight neck. Would you mind telling me what type of chiropractor you saw, as in what branch of practice? Because I don’t know if many that measure the curve of the cervical spine? Much appreciated! Thank you! Enjoy your shoes! 😊
Thank you so much! To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what my chiropractor's branch of practice is. I can ask the next time I go in though! I think you could likely ask if measuring the curvature of your cervical spine is something the chiropractor you're looking into could do. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
Is there more room inside the lites than the winters? I have the winters and had to remove the insoles for them to not squeeze my foot. The length is perfect they just felt tight.
You may just be one of those people - like me - who needs a shoe with an even wider toebox than most barefoot shoes provide. And re the 'clown shoe' jibe, it's not true, I get compliments on my wide shoes all the time and wearing anything less and hurting my feet for the sake of convention would be far more ridiculous. The brands I know of that offer really wide toeboxes are Realfoot and Softstar. Both do hiking boots and Realfoot are just coming out with a vegan one. Realfoot are also slightly wider, making them the widest in the world as far as I know. Other vegan brands that are slightly less wide than either of these but still wider than Feelgrounds are Bohempia, which only does shoes, and Ahimsa, which does boots as well. Watch out with Ahimsa, though, because the sizing info on their site was inaccurate when I ordered from them, making them seem the widest in the world when they're actually not even close, and their vegan leather was hard and didn't seem very breathable. I returned the shoes as they weren't wide enough for me.
@@JohnMoseley thank you!!! Are the two brands you mentioned similar at all the Lems boots? So far those are the only boots that fit well. Their sneakers are perfect
@@RMphilmacrac For style, I'd say not much can beat Lems Boulder Boots - and if their sneakers are comfortable for you, the boots should be too. I've had both and actually find the boots feel wider. The tread on the Boulder Boot is virtually non-existent, but Lems offer a couple of very similar, more expensive variants with more grip: Summit and something else I can't remember. I still want a bit more toe space, which is why I'm getting the Realfoot boots. Tread on those looks only a little better than the Boulder Boot, but the sole is thinner and more flexible if you care about ground feel. Stylewise, sadly, they look like a basic hiking boot, nowhere near as nice as Boulder Boots. Sofstar's Switchback boots look pretty good, are said to be super-durable and have really big lugs, so made for serious hikes.
@@RMphilmacrac If Lems are wide enough for you, you could also check out Freet, which has a range of hiking boots that people seem to love. Never had them, but I really loved my Freet sneakers except that, again, for my very wide foot, they didn't offer enough toe space. But they're wider than Feelgrounds.

Yayyyy 🎉 Thanks for sharing your thoughts on our Patrol Lite, we really appreciate your feedback!
take notes about the negatives 🙂
ahhh these look like the best shoes for a NYC spring/fall
YES!! It makes me want to fly out there and test them out!

Love this! Would love to see a review of their chelsea boots
Those look pretty spiffy!! Also I love how excited you were about your hoodie
I think they look really great! Bonus points for being comfy, too! AND I'M STILL OBSESSED WITH THE HOODIE!

Great video! Have you tried hiking or doing other boot activity in them? And do they make mens?
Hi, Do you think Patrol Lites is suitable for light Winter?
Hmm idk I want something for the snow in America but I also mostly live in a warm climate so the lites could be better
