- Former Love Island presenter Caroline Flack has been found dead, her family has said.
They commented: "we can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February.
"We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time."
A lawyer for the Flack family confirmed that the star took her own life and was found dead in her east London flat.

Actually 3 of the deaths were caused by the media and the fourth by one of those 3 suicides. The show did probably have an impact on the first two but it had nothing to do with Caroline's
It’s not the shows fault these people killed themselves for their own reasons, Caroline’s reason was she attacked her boyfriend and didn’t want to go to prison for it, so found a way to escape

Empress Sophia people aren’t commodities she was a real person with a family and friends. People do feel empathy towards instances like this but not true hurt as a family member would. It’s not natural for outsiders to mourn for a long period of time or we’d all but torn apart emotionally by strangers, acquaintances and celebrity’s deaths. That’s why people don’t think about it after a while

The person who committed suicide in connection to the Jeremy Kyle show, to my knowledge, did so as a result of the backlash the person received from his appearance on the show. Caroline’s case has no connection to love island , it was simply a domestic violence incident, which is completely independent from love island.

A*sports I fully understand with regards to the others 100% as their cases had a relatively direct link with the show. Rest in peace to them all. What we need to look at in my opinion is the lnterlinks the two love island cases and the Caroline flack case, which is the press and publicity, that seems to be the common denominator for the cases. Which ultimately had an adverse affect on theses individuals(RIP) mental stability. I feel like new preventative measures need to be implemented to help offer aid to these individuals in the limelight and public eye, to help deter them from taking these unfortunate steps.
I wouldn't say it was Love Island that's responsible for her suicide.

I’ve done reality tv and have highly regretted it. It was exciting until I signed onto social media and was flooded with hate comments, death threats, etc. I did nothing to deserve any one of those hateful comments. It’s amazing how cruel some people are.

Blaming this on a show or the passers is outrageous. If this were a man who had done this to a women, who had other women saying this was a pattern in the abusers life, the reaction from the public would be very different.
The reality is she was ashamed of her behaviour. She was probably devastated by what she has lost and was mortified that she was going to have to withstand the scrutiny of a public trial. CPS deciding to prosecute was not personal, it would have been decided off the merits of the evidence.
This is extremely sad, but throwing blame on others in this circumstance is useless.
The thing is people are blaming it on a show that didn't directly effect her personal life. Almost like they are oblivious to what actually led to her doing this. Did media scrutiny probably make things worse? Yes. Somehow she is being portrayed as the victim by the media and other celebrities. She was the one facing domestic violence charges. Women's groups have campaigned against anonymity for the accused, and for the CPS to prosecute regardless if the accuser removes an accusation.

Its probably because Jeremy kyle show had something to do with that death and the deaths of Sophie and mike now Caroline didn't have anything to do with the show they just had problems going on at home nothing to do with love island.. Especially Caroline she loved hosting love island she was supposed to be back hosting it in summer but after 23rd February when this series ends I think there will be no more episodes of love island because ITV are already talking about it but I don't think they'll carry on with anymore love island after the 23rd its not the same without her

Her death has nothing to do with the show. She supposedly assaulted her boyfriend, smashing him over the head with a lamp. She was charged, and was due in court in a few weeks time. My guess is she was guilty, and couldn’t handle it. It would have all but destroyed her career. I don’t watch, nor care, about any of these awful “reality” TV shows, but to blame her death on the show is wrong, she clearly had mental health issues, and a bit fragile.

She couldn’t or wouldn’t change her life after the domestic assault. Instead deciding to take her own life, I feel weirdly sorry for her. Even though she seems to have been something of a monster in her private life.
I was very sad to hear about her taking her own life, I work in mental health and I have experienced depression and what feels like the abyss at times. I wish I or somebody could have helped her. RIP Caroline.
