Every film I watch on RUclips there is always something to learn or add to my process or a new product or tool. Two tips I picked up here, the mitt/glove looks really useful and after detailing a red Fiesta numerous times for my son I have never thought of dressing the trim inside the fuel filler flap. That is the extra mile in detailing. Thanks again.

Paul, VP UK is Carchem. Dry Helmet is the Hydrocoat Hybrid just renamed. They cant sell the Carchem range so they have attempted to rebrand it.

Another great one Paul. Great to see autosmart red 7 being tested. This as I've said to you before is my go to for wheels and body decontamination, nothing comes anywhere near ! You didn't mention that it too pen and inks lol. Very sorry to here about your dry helmet mate,it happens to us old boys a fair bit 🤣 . Would agree the finish it gave looks good - but how does it stack up against something like farecla G3 surface sealant - all the best from the Melbourne mob
I left dry helmet for about 15 mins and it came off OK. Put a thin coat on too, that helps.
The gloss gets a big boost if you add a second coat a week or so later.
I don't believe VP's claim of one year's durability though.

I used Dry Helmet about 3 months ago, applied to whole car, then buffed off with dry MF after 15 minutes, no issues. Posting this all this time later as it's keeping the white car it's on really clean, and it's still beading like a good'un. There's chance it will have good longevity. Also applied on black granite... no issues there either, but it's not very slick especially in first 24 hours after application, but holding up longevity wise. And don't sniff it.... It's worse than IW Synergy Lite for the nazal stripping honk.
Need to get myself a dry helmet 🪖..... those wash mits are fantastic , I have the dodo juice Captain Crevice and love it .. great video Paul ❤

iWe use those,stiff brushes at work on engine bays abd really stubborn ingrained wheels . Our wheel cleaner is dog s**t but with these it will remove it . Handy brush to have though one you may not use often . Id heard Jody at Mile Deep saying about that smell and it would burn your eyes etc . Im yet to find something , or someone , to try my wet helmet on but heard good reviews . Cracking video as ever Paul , you forgot my rock though ? And Specky is on a diet so wont want his
I tried the 1 bucket wash recently, bucket 2 wasn’t happy but it’s my go to now.

Sounds to me that they need to take this new product back to the drawing board and re-create it so it’s pleasant smelling, and easy to buff off?

Swivel attachment then a 25degree narrow nozzle and a 40degree to rinse off I’m making a video about my gun set up stay tuned

I’ve got them cheap wheel Woolley’s what a load of dog,couldn’t get them in the spokes and they kept getting stuck on the backing plates so bought the Ez brushes instead,use the woolly for cleaning exhaust tips now

Really impressed with GT's Tar & Glue Remover but having problems with the spray head leaking the product. Don't know if it's just a one off or whether those spray heads can't handle the product and maybe it needs a more robust industrial type. Be interested to know if you have any problems with yours before ordering another bottle as it's works well. Thanks for the video and great result on a neglected car - it looks 100% better. 👍🏾
Hi Barry not unusual for tar remover heads to fail I’ve had countless heads just give up the solvent kills them on every brand I’ve used so far
Ah, I see - not just me then! I’ve only got GTechniq’s to compare it too which was in a 500ml bottle v 1L of Garage Therapy’s which is almost empty and is far more effective too so I’m guessing contains more solvent. I’ll try decanting the GT into a GTechniq bottle & head and see how that gets on. Thanks again! 🙏🏾

Your "dry helmet" 🤭🤭 looks like too much hard work for the average weekend warrior but I suppose practice make perfect when dealing with a "dry helmet!!!" Glad you had a great holiday, some stunning photos by the way.
What a difference some tlc can make to what looked an old car, which of course it wasn't. Maybe a silly question, do you rinse/wash out the tyre dressing applicator? All the best 👍.

Not tried the wet helmet yet but I know this dry helmet is fiddly
@@PaulDoldenDetails yes what you was saying at the end about removing the product. I found it a little difficult as well but like you I found it easier when left for a while. You should get your hands on VPs fallout Remover, really strong stuff 💪

Great video with loads of well thought out information and the car looked like Trump just paid for it to be cleaned, 👍 I’ve tried both links for in the description but neither bring up that wash mitt/glove, I have a problem with dropping the pads and other mitts and this one looks brilliant to keep a hold of with the finger slots in. If you manage to find a link that works please post it as I’ll buy one and a spare. Oh checked in2detailing and ultimate finish and no sign of it. 👍

What attachment was on the ava gun when doing the tyres?
I have the red and black aliexpress brush thing and not noticed any shedding, prefer these as they dont spit/sling dirty water back all over you.
Look at my tracking link for the Ava site it’s the swivel attachment I think I need to do a full video on the gun
Checked the link and no joy. I have the vario nozzle that does 20 and 60 degree patterns. I feel like you had the 40 degree car nozzle one but just wanted to check for sure 😅

@@PaulDoldenDetailsPaul could you recommend a product that would clean what looks like green algae from around my rear lights, it’s under the plastic edges of the lens cluster. A regular detailing brush bristles are too big to get in the sandwich between the lens assembly it’s driving me insane 🙏
