That’s amazing. I have used heat to shrink on heavy old car sheet metal. This shrinks and tightens the metal making it able to be a normal push nock down again. Awesome and I know easier said than done. This is a great start to being able to do it on your own. Thank you. Johnc
Thank you for the clip! I am wondering there is no problem for electric devices if parts are not disassembled from the body like you did. Or did you just detach the minus from the battery?
Yes of course. If the dent is too stretched, it will oil can no matter how sharp the tip is. In that case yes I use the Power PDR box to fix the oil can effect.
Thanks for video Zan. What You think about another PDR box when You working from top? Will it shrink dent like this as well or is it only for soft dents?
@@vidicz I live in turkey. I want to know this too. I spoke with a master from Brazil. He said he did this with a battery charger. Another master said that he did this with a low voltage welding machine. I was undecided
Is it worth to buy this thing? Im not sure becose of the risk involved withe Burning the paint, en the time consuming this thing is.. whats ur take on this ? Worth or not ?
This is not to repair your average dent. This is for shrinking the metal…when the dent is stretched there is not much else you can do. It’s worth it but not for a beginner. I don’t know your skill level but this thing is useful for more complex/advanced damage

You are welcome. Yes this machine is really special and it’s a must have :) it pushes your ceiling much higher
Great video, only thing I would of wanted to see was how you shocked from bottom while you were doing it.
Thanks Nick. Yes great idea. I would need two cameras for that so maybe in the future :)
Thanks Zan for Demostration, explained thourghly 🤗
You are welcome 👍👊🏻
Thank you for the clip!

It is definitely safer to detach the car from the battery. However I never had any problems nor did I heard other people had problems
@@vidicz Thanks Zan! 😀
Do you ever have a large hail dent you are working on with a sharp tip start to oil can? Do you use the power pdr box to fix it?
Yes of course. If the dent is too stretched, it will oil can no matter how sharp the tip is. In that case yes I use the Power PDR box to fix the oil can effect.

Hi Karol. Do you mean the hot box? I had no success with shrinking a dent with a hot box.
@@vidicz yes hotbox. Thanks for your answer
Good work my friend. Is this a welding machine? I want to know that too. Someone said I can do this with a blowtorch.
Hi, thank you. Its not a welding machine but it is very similar. It was made especially for this kind of dents

Thank you Zan this helps a lot ! Are those expensive
Hi there. IMHO they are not expensive as they pay for themselfs pretty quickly. You save a panel or two and its paid off
Why is it contracting?
Doesn't iron expand when heated?
I'm curious about the principle.
Honestly I don't know all the technical details about how this works. I know how to use it :)

Hi Zan, just wondering how you use this when a brace is under the dent and you have no access to the underside?
Very hard. If you can remove the brace to a certain degree it may get you access to it.
Great job 👍👍
Which tip are you using in the minute 4:30 bringing it up? Sharp?
Thanks. Yes it was a sharp tip tool. A double bend rod.

Thanks Zan 👍
@@UY_pdr2020 you are welcome
This does not burn the paint?
It can...not if you know what you are doing :)
Brutal 😳
It is a great machine...Saves panels for sure!
I have a Lidl mashine to!
Nice, how does that work?
Im a amure someone please ecplain why you cant use a pdr induction box you wouldnt have grind away the paint.
Well the induction box works completely different and it’s not good for shrinking the dents like this
S katerim hotboxom pa delate?
Ni hotbox, ampak je power PDR box
Is this machine possible to buy.?
Yes it is. Where are you from?
Теперь капот красить с двух сторон😢
Yes but its saved from replacement
4 bolts, And That hood could be on a hood stand,
I agree...but how is that relevant with shrinking the dents?
Wo bekommt man den hot Spot.
Try dentjunkies on Facebook
push half way then shirking the result is better
Thanks I will try that. There are many different approaches to this but the end result matters :)
My way is better. Heat and sharp tools
To each their own :)
