He’s sober on this album…..he was so sick he had to learn to recover and to even think, write, talk sober without the drugs in his system. Going through withdrawals and your mind and physical body rebel against you at times. It can take years since his mom had fed him prescription pills as a kid, his body and mind are messed up from all the drug use and not having the prescription or illegal drugs can almost be dangerous at times. Imagine not just recovering from over dosing but getting sober, staying sober, then getting physically mentally and emotionally healthy. Now you have to learn how to do everything you used to do almost like as a new person. You don’t have the crutch of drugs to help make you more creative or to numb certain emotions. It’s hard. He had to learn to rap again. Paul (his manager) has said in interviews he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to rap again because Em had to learn to even talk again. He came home out of rehab and watched a bunch of daytime television including serial killer documentaries like they used to have on A&E, and Discovery Channel. He ended up learning and memorizing stuff about almost all the famous historical killers while on hiatus. I can’t believe Eminem doesn’t care for this album. His rapping and tunes, cadence and unique songs and beats are just amazing 🤩- yes creepy but so so good
You're confusing this album and moment with encore. He wasn't on drugs when he made this, he was recovering from it. He was on drugs when he wrote encore. In the song "Talking to myself" from the "Recovery" album, he had a line that goes - "My last 2 albums don't count/ Encore I was on drugs, Relapse I was flushing 'em out".
For some more Relapse: Same Song And Dance is awesome. Stay Wide Awake is the best song on the album imo. Deja Vu to cover his drug issues further. Beautiful (find the full version not the music video) for a different side within the same album.
IT WAS ME!!! ❤❤and you even did it in exact order ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 Still love the EZ reactions Been waiting for EM to find him forever FRAMED on Revival is prequel to 3AM EMINEM FACTS: Em was sober during Relapse Em was high as f during Encore He relapsed w/public OD between those 2 albums Eminem unfortunately regrets making Relapse bc imo is 🔥🔥🔥 He ran 6mi a day & binge watched serial killer documentaries/movies to stay sober After Em OD’d he had to relearn how to rap and many believe that’s when he became more technical & faster UNDERGROUND from Relapse was the song Paul said made him believe Em would be ok & could rap again BEAUTIFUL is only song he was in rehabilitation Love you guys!!! ❤❤❤
I really appreciate that you do the skits too since it can help better tell the story. I'd love for you to do the same for MTBMB and side B since they're not necessarily as "necessary" but they are fun!
erikahutchcraft pointed this out already but Eminem actually made most of this album coming down from his addiction and sobering up. He ODd before this album, and making this was something like a therapy for him and learning to rhyme again. Dr. Dre made most of the beats so Em could concentrate on getting back to rapping. This album is actually considered a special classic for many fans. And when he put out the next album Recovery he blew EVERYBODY's minds with bar heavy charting hits, solidifying his status as GOAT. Your reactions are pretty fun, thank you! 🔥
People crap on this album because of the accents but I absolutely love it. Sad thing is that Em took the criticism to heart and he shits on this album still
When asked if he had any ideas for the video, he said his only requirement was he wanted to be in a tub of blood. Was made at an actual institute that was still partially in use, so that was tricky. Was very cold and they couldn't keep the "blood" warm enough so it was rather miserable. Em's two podcasts with Paul right before Curtain Call 2 are a must listen to. So are the other ones Paul did too.
We on the Horror s**t now? Greeeat😀So then I recommend to react to "same song and dance" and one of my absolute favs "STAY WIDE AWAKE" this song is insane with the rhymes and the rhythms... Alone the beat is sick... the base is like when you hear the heartbeat of the Victims in Horror Movies. And the whole E-guitar thing is made in a very straight and "dry" dual rhythm like the killer that isn't affected by any emotions, do his thing like routine "mechanical and tireless"
To learn about the making of this video, listen to the Paul Pod curtain call 2 with James Larese. He talks this video and others. Then Em and Paul talk about it too.

I’m here for Eminem all day everyday my boys :)
Thanks for coming back to the OG
For some more Relapse:
Same Song And Dance is awesome.
Stay Wide Awake is the best song on the album imo.
Deja Vu to cover his drug issues further.
Beautiful (find the full version not the music video) for a different side within the same album.
Nice reaction. I always thought the backing vocals at the end were ...Evil Rise, Evil Rise
IT WAS ME!!! ❤❤and you even did it in exact order ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Still love the EZ reactions Been waiting for EM to find him forever
FRAMED on Revival is prequel to 3AM
EMINEM FACTS:
Em was sober during Relapse
Em was high as f during Encore
He relapsed w/public OD between those 2 albums
Eminem unfortunately regrets making Relapse bc imo is 🔥🔥🔥
He ran 6mi a day & binge watched serial killer documentaries/movies to stay sober
After Em OD’d he had to relearn how to rap and many believe that’s when he became more technical & faster
UNDERGROUND from Relapse was the song Paul said made him believe Em would be ok & could rap again
BEAUTIFUL is only song he was in rehabilitation
Love you guys!!! ❤❤❤
This album is phenomenal

Thank you!!! That means a lot to us! 🙏🏻🥹 Thank you for still supporting us OG! 🤘🏻
Stay up, Stay safe!
Stay Wide Awake has the best flow and rhyme scheme I've ever heard!!
Let's go! Keep the Eminem coming!
Agreed at this being underrated. Though most people seem to respect it now, it was more divided for awhile, you're spot on.
People crap on this album because of the accents but I absolutely love it.

@@erikahutchcraft1742 yeah I love the way he would bend the words honestly.

This is one of my fave EM songs!💜

"My Darling" (also somehow related to the skit)
Underground off the same album. Em go's fkin crazy!

Seconded Stay Wide Awake. Best one on the album!
Like I said, it's one of my absolute favorites of all times.
This whole album is like guilty pleasure
He’s not on drugs. No one could rap like this on drugs it’s too good
This album is after rehab when he was sober.
nice stuff guys
Thank you my dude! ❤️🔥
To learn about the making of this video, listen to the Paul Pod curtain call 2 with James Larese. He talks this video and others. Then Em and Paul talk about it too.
This album was the first album he recorded sober
Forgot about "Music Box"
Eminem - Music Box
