Gear doesn't matter on the arena. Class... well depends on current patch, but only if you are top player, if not - doesn't matter. Every class can win, most important to enjoy your class gameplay.
BNS Neo Classic will be different as it is going all the way back to lvl 45 content and original skill tree this private server has the pre awakening patch so it is not classic im sure the private server is running a patch that came out shortly after the silverfrost patch

this server is so suck in NA :(. Too high ping.
Sorry to hear man! I heard many NA players play here with no problems. But I guess it depends where in NA you live.
