It is. The cannot both see the target location. He screwed up the example, but if you noticed, then this game's for you. :-)

      That's what I'm saying

Gerhardts makes good abstracts apparently. Meeple Mountain reviewed one of their other games called Tintas. It's a wonderful and colorful game that has a "Chinese checkers" sort of vibe.

To ease the teaching stress they could have had preset 3x3 districts to give visual clarity so there is no need for the "no touching" rule. As a variant I would limit the number of pieces of the same color in each district (1 tower, 2 palaces, 3 houses) to possibly shorten the game.

This one is special. It does drag a bit with the exceptions, but once you get used to them, it's truly outstanding.

It's one of the best games from Essen 2017 for me.
Although playability could have been higher if the pieces were tiles with pictures (black house, silver palace and golden
tower) with red / blue (player colors) background.

What is a district? It wasn't explained.

I like how you listed your +s & -s. I'd suggest it's clearly mentioned "plusses & minuses" bc as I was skipping along the video, I thought to myself is this half a point? ha. I was thinking maybe using a diff color for 1 of the bullets: like green for +.

It looks like it is competitive like Go and Chess, but it is done with the concept of urban development which can be just as antagonistic and dangerous as war. It's a game that focuses on personal politics from the looks of it.

I love a good abstract too. Thank you for the advice.

3:26 How is that a valid move?

For elegance, play "Amazones" or "Lines of Action".

Not to be confused, of course, with Urbion.

This game is an strategy game but not abstract strategy game according to the definition. This pieces have different values unlike Go and Checkers in which all pieces have the same value. O)

Whys is that a requirement to become abstract strategy? Does that mean Chess isn't one?

I can see a lot of potential for multiple rounds.

Zee... does this remind you of an older game called Cathedral? I like it! I like the quality of the components. I'll put this game on my Buy List.... Thanks.

Hi Zee: I normally enjoy your reviews but this one just had to be the worse; YES YOU WERE NIT PICKING LEFT & RIGHT. People makes mistakes during many new games, so I don't think there was any reason to beat that horse to death. For someone that says they like abstract games. you should of been jumping for joy that such a fine one has come along..

You can like someone's review even if you disagree with him. He's right that there are a lot of games, and he's not saying it's bad. Calm down.
