Is there a way you can create the digital file and be able to allow the buyer to personalized it? Meaning adding a name but without alternating the rest of the file?
Unfortunately you cannot make editable PDFs with affinity. I’ve seen some workarounds that use Canva plus free software to do this, or you could also subscribe to a service like Corjl to offer editable PDFs. Or a paid Adobe subscription.
Hi, Hawa! You can't currently create a fillable PDF IN Affinity Designer, but you can always use a third party software to add fillable fields to your flattened PDF.
@@LoriOster thank you very much ! I follow your tutorial yesterday and it works very well :) ! I like the flatten idea. Do you have any social media where we can follow you and ask you questions if needed ?
so, I guess that you would give a choice of sizes to the customer by creating more art boards with various sizes not just restrict them to 8x11? Sorry, but I am a complete noob to this.
@@LoriOster That was an easy sub, thank you. So, to get this into my head. I would produce a piece of work that was a minimum of 300ppi, and copy it to an artboard of whatever size as long as the finished work did not become pixelated or too large a file size?
@@slicedpage Are you producing the work in AD? If so, I would start with an artboard that is the maximum size you would like the final product to be printed, and create it at 300dpi at that size. Then you can export as a PNG and easily scale that down to any smaller size you would like without worrying about pixelation issues.
@@LoriOster I understand now. Yes, I use AD but have the others too. I just thought of AD because it has ready-made artboards. Thank you for making the time to explain that. NOW I can get things movin' and groovin' :)
Thank you

Hi Lori 🙂, does the flatten option, allow us to make a fillable pdf after saving the first pdf in affinity ?

Hi! Yes, you can create different artboards in different sizes and then offer them all to your customer if you want to give them options.
