The "FAITH" album is a classic!
Its only been the last few years that I have come to realize the genius of this man.
George was insanely talented. I don't think we'll ever see anybody like him again. He could do it all and he sure did.

I will never understand why some people in the 80's saw in him a plastic pop star. Listen this song it's deep and social critically. Show one "star" of today who can write deep songs like this and he was in his mid 20's when this album was released. The whole album is fantastic and even most of his Wham! songs are meaningful.

This song is about poverty (particularly in America, but not exclusively). It’s about how no one helps enough. Similar to his song “praying for time “. People who have enough & beyond don’t extend a hand. The Government (The Gods of America) don’t help enough. They are all wealthy & could do more but don’t. He believed in them but didn’t realize they believe in nothing. It’s not hard to work out the songs meaning if you just listen.

My favourite George song. When I heard 'Everything she wants' I knew; this guy is special.
And then he started doing this, those lyrics alone are gold.
Masterpiece… when I was growing up, my father used to put on the albums Faith and Older during our road trips at night. We bonded over those albums and I’ll never forget the first time I heard Faith. George Michael always wrote his songs to heal humanity. Hand to Mouth is one of the greatest examples. His music will last forever. Truly one of the greatest artists of all time.
Written some time in 1986/7 and still ringing true in 2024.
This song is a gem, one of my favourites from George.

George deserved to be up there in the Hall of fame as a songwriter , incredible vision and talent. My heart is sad still as his beautiful , distinctive voice still resonates, remains current and so poignant. An authentic and spades of integrity.
Handsome but remained humble and grounded despite the wealth and fame he accumulated. All he wanted was respect and acceptance .I for one always saw his true worth and loved him from the heart and still am faithful to him for all the right reasons.

I completely agree. He played several instruments, too. He was truly a gift, and I thank God that he was able to share his gifts. He definitely had one of the most beautiful voices...and, he knew how to use it. “You Have Been Loved,” “Father Figure,” “Jesus To A Child,” and “Cowboys and Angels” are some of my favorite showcases of his wonderful talent.
I can totally relate to what you said. Such an amazing artist, and even more phenomenal man.
I can connect with the feeling George being like a good friend to you. For me his songs always were the backgrond music in my life, especially concerning my love life and relations, from the 80's right through the 90's, he was always present. He had a voice like an angel and his lyrics have such a big range and cover so many situations that appeal to so many. He's my greatest star forever!
