My late father who passed build Bon wood West system custom made half cabin planing hulls 1986 dad bought a brand new 20hp Yamaha 2stroke long shaft for a boat he just built 18 ft new blue fin, half cabin, with only 20hp, boat got the plain, very easy half speed.
You can use the flush port, if you don't run the engine. The flush port provides water from above the water pump but just below the oil pan up through the engine block, DO NOT run motor, the flush port will not provide enough water to lubricate the water pump impellor.
Do not know, I don't have the link to read that. At 1/2 throttle on plane it will do 7 miles per gallon. I use a 3 gal fuel tank have run 28 miles with some left in tank.

Is there a difference between using the flushing adapter or the bin?

Yes 2017 was a brand new efi model, they used mitsubishi efi system.
