If you add cocoa and black tea, the stain is much more deep and the tannins soak into the wood better. Also, the tea helps preserve the wood! :) You only need 2 Tbl. Coffee, 2 black tea bags, and 2 Tbl. raw cocoa powder to about 4-6 cups of boiling water. Mix, then let mixture steep and cool to a warm-cool temperature. To seal the wood, you can use a mixture of beeswax and melted coconut oil, or you can go to Home Depot and buy Howard's Citrus Shield wax (it's non-toxic).
