This is my hometown. Pork & Beans projects, Brownsville middle school, Miami Northwestern HS. Surprise, they allowed u to ride around. U stopped at a lught they'll leave u on bricks. The Allapattah, Overtown, Wynwood. Love my hometown. Yes, crime but humble, hard working, loving people. Everyone was family. No outsiders allowed.

I used to work at the fire hose plant across the street from Northwestern HS until they relocated in 2012. Twice i came to work and the parking lot was blocked off because of shootings. I'm a white dude and stood out like a sore thumb if i went outside but I got mistaken for police a lot so never was messed with. Not a place i liked being after dark!!

I've visited Liberty City with my best friend. It's not that bad.

Liberty city and its surrounding areas definitely not as bad as it was in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s.Many black Americans have been moving out of Miami to other parts of the state and other states, as Gentrification creeps in. I still would watch my back in the area..lol

i’ve lived my whole life in miami , and i’ve lived in over town and north miami. is not for the weak but liberty city takes the medal. i recently purchased a home right next to the pork and beans (15th ave) a year ago for almost 300k. is crime almost every single day. and the police still around all the time. i saw the demolition of liberty square too, such a bitter sweet feeling

Thanks for sharing that. It's unbelievable to pay $300,000 and still have to worry about crime every day. Congratulations on your new home, and I wish you all the best and much success! Don't forget to subscribe and smash that notification bell.

It’s not even Nearly as bad (Now) as it was in the 80’s, early 90’s & further back (70’s) … lots of Dangerous (Crack) Gangs & Turf Wars back then…. Mostly every perp of those days is either too locked-up, too old or too dead, to bring it back the way it was back then. Thank God…

Thanks for sharing that info. In the early 2000s, it was still pretty rough, coinciding with the peak of the show "The First 48." Thanks for watching.
