I see these on Barnstormer from time to time sell for 20k range I guess not much of a market for them other than using them for training probably a smaller number of buyers out there. Obviously, the issue is rigging them for flight and then putting them back in the trailer not a single person task. Maybe could use two wheels to support the wing. If you're lucky enough to have a hanger big enough to keep one, then that would solve the issue. Finding one at a glider port where you can be towed up is another issue. Glider port by me does rent these which is probably the way to go when you want to take someone up, but now they are requiring renters' insurance cost $1000-1200 a year when you add up the cost of renting $160 an hour renting isn't so feasible. Glider Club is another option if you live near one.
I see the registration number on the tail (in relatively small size print) and not on the main body. Transport Canada stipulates, I believe, "a clearly visible registration with letters no less than 6 inches in height". Does the FAA have something different?
Interesting question! I never thought about it. I looked it up. Generally, 6 inches on fixed wing aircraft, except 3 inches on a glider. (45.29 - Size of marks)
@@airfoiled Huh... thanks for the response. I'm going to look it properly here in Canada too. I'm revamping my glider and it would look cool if I remove my registration from the body.

Beautiful machine! - are you familiar with PZL PW-6?
Hi! I've never flown a PW-6, but I've flown the PW-5!
Same here @AirFoiled. Would love to fly a PW-6 someday!
