    Thanks for the video! Started sim racing a few weeks ago and got myself the Alpinestars Tech 1 K Race V2 for a start. I wonder about the wear of the rubber stuff... as I don’t mind the glove to wear off but I want my wheel to be clean and do as less harm to the Alcantara. How about that 2 month later; what’s your impressions on the Rush’s?

    • @UnrealWheels
      @UnrealWheels  3 года назад +2

      Hey mate, thanks for watching and hoping the best for you and your racing... the gloves so far have held up pretty well (about 2 months in) the rubber shows no signs of falling off and although the alcantara has flattened out and become a bit Shiny, it shouldn’t be a problem to brush back up with a suede brush. My steering wheel has stayed protected so far. And the materials don’t seem to be wearing down (especially near the grips and the pads). I don’t think you would have a problem with wheel wear and tear if you use any gloves for that matter.

    • @proliciousgamer
      @proliciousgamer 3 года назад +1

      @@UnrealWheels alright. Thanks for the answer. Brushing up the Alcantara is good enough for me, I just don’t want rubber on my wheel! I’ll order a pair of OMP Rush‘s and see myself how they compare. The grip stripes on the inside hand of my Alpinestars are sometimes folding over a bit so I can feel it when holding the wheel. It’s not totally flat anymore and could be due to a bit more stretch after 2 weeks of wearing them. It’s really minor but I’m sensitive to that stuff. A gift and a curse, I’m telling you. 😂

      @UnrealWheels  3 года назад +5

      I actually have seen the alpinestars as well... they are pretty much the same glove with extremely slight visual differences. I think the main difference would be the material and feel of the rubber grip and colors... which is all personal preference...

      Those are mechanic specific gloves I think, although I do see some advantages they could have. But a few reasons I could think for choosing these would be that they are specifically made for driving along the whole pre curved fingers thing, but it’s totally up to you. Glad you enjoyed the video!

    Hi, i've been looking for a long time for karting gloves and i want to buy these, but i can't really decide which size i should get (some size charts say i should get size 10 (M) and others size 11 (L)). I took many measurements and my left palm is 22,5 cm and my right palm 23,5 cm more or less. Which ones do you think i should get? Thanks in advance!

    • @UnrealWheels
      @UnrealWheels  3 года назад +1

      Hey, try to use the sizing charts that are consistent with each brand. I think you should be able to find a sparco specific sizing chart… I just gave it a look, and the chart seems to say that size 10 fits from 20-24 cm, so since both your hands fit under that criteria, size 10 makes the most sense. You generally want to have a well fitting glove, as having it too loose, can result in it falling off during intense karting. Hope that’s the information you needed. Thanks for watching and Good luck!

      @@UnrealWheels Thanks! I'll get the size M then, my fingers are very long but if they arrive and they don't fit me properly i'll just return them and buy the size L ones instead, no big deal. Cheers!
