A very good list, even though I totally disagree with Kakarot. I'm a big Dragon Ball and Toriyama fan, but this story has just been told many times before. They're just recycling it more and more. Even Toriyama himself said he doesn't know what the f*ck he wants to do with DBS manga anymore. I'd rather put FF VII Remake on my list.
Yeah, I don't mind it though. I've rewatched Z/Kai multiple times and played a bunch of the old RPGs but if they release another one, I would buy it again without a second thought lol. As long as the gameplay continues to improve, I will probably never hate it.
Persona 5 royal is my top, but I largely feel the same with your list. Havent played like a dragon yet since I'm still working on catching up on the series first
Im not sure when GTA style games became 'rpg' ... if youre literal with the definition of role playing, sure... but by that definition madden is an RPG.
@@iryu7288 I don't know, I still know nothing about the game. I probably wouldn't put 2 Kiseki games on my list so it would probably be at the #2 spot and replace CS4 if I liked it more. I can't see it beating out Yakuza since that game just hit all the right notes for me.
I loved the games on your main list, hated FF7 remake unfortunately, the combat couldn't be much less like an FF game if it tried, it's twitch combat for kids, very disappointing. Yakuza Like A Dragon is the game I currently just can't stop playing. What an amazing game, it would be my number one too, by a million miles.
@@MaskDeSmith It's an action fighting game with light RPG elements. I thought I was buying a deep RPG, ya know, like all the other ones. And yes the combat is designed for kids who just like to whack things mindlessly. Sorry if that sounds too much like you for comfort.
@@radleystark6561 The game is almost unanimously praised by people of all ages. But yeah, you pass it off as "mindless" if it makes you feel better. Typical JRPG snob who can't stand people having fun with newer titles.

You're the one that simply can't accept some people don't want to brainlessly mash buttons in an FF game so maybe have some strong words with yourself too?
Still waiting on a PC port for Persona 5. :( Can't believe they haven't announced it yet considering Strikers is coming to PC in Feb. Definitely gonna pull the trigger on Like A Dragon eventually too - it just looks like too unusual of a JRPG to not experience at least once. Thanks for the vid!

I would consider 13 Sentinels a JRPG even though it's a bit different from what one might consider. It has RPG elements and it's made by a Japanese company, so good enough for me!
