At around 30 minutes you say OK this is a disaster. I wept. I surely say that at some point on every project. Such joy to hear it from you. Kent

That little white piece of coral is actually a small barnacle.

I have all your books since they first came out.❤ I am Native American (Creek) and cajun…so LOVE doing jewels about the bayous. My main problem is that I actually have fear of fire so haven’t been able to do jewels required with a torch. Could be because I am an Aquarian.

I love that you know your fears! What if it was a fear from a. Past life or a fear from when you were young. We hold all of this.
I do a lot of work of handing it over. Before you go to bed at night ask to get to the root of this fear.
Sometimes, you face a little hard emotional stuff and sometimes it’s easy.
After that you may be able to move forward with a torch if you still want too

Hello, thank you very much for your videos. How can we remove the fire scale and fire stain that appear on a piece? After welding a ring and using different sandpapers and polishing and mirror polishing, these dark areas appear. What can I do to eliminate them and prevent them from occurring?
Thank you very much for your help.

I know what type of stain that you are talking about. It is not firescale but literally a rosy stain from over firing. It doesn’t happen often.
You could try sanding a little more. Use this experience to teach you what not to do next time ❤️
      Happens to us all

I have 4 feet square in a damp shed but I am so happy when I am having a day where I’m well enough to be in there for even half an hour.
You almost said the word Repousse & stopped yourself. Why?
I have a question. I want to make some lens shape pieces, so not spherical - round but more flattered. I can get the bottom half right by making the shape in my block but the top obviously balls up more. I am thinking of making a punch the right shape to mould it while melted but can see this might be a bit hit and miss. Is there any other way apart from sand casting them? I want them to be about 1cm round. I am planning to flush set stones in them.

That all sounds amazing ! And good for you following your heart and intuition.
It is hard for me to understand a physical technique in a comment but I want you to not hate I have a membership where I have time to answer questions and work with people on silversmithing. In October I start a platform where we all can work side by side virtually.
You can find the membership link in my profile. I hope to see you there! It is only $24.99 a month and you get creative promos and silversmithing techniques etc.
      you should check it out

i understand symbolizing your roots, where your family is from and all that...BUT, if you are born here, you are AMERICAN first!...so, i feel that as a fellow American, that is not being recognized or is being ignored as a culture and why isn't that represented in jewelry?

Good point and mine exactly! Lately, I have been researching my roots but for me I did exactly that . I came back from traveling and I thought - I am American and what are my talismans here. I have a powerful body of work of my personal talismans as an American that went to the Smithsonian, art institute in New York, Renwick museum and more. I’ll do a film on that work soon.
And the sticks film from last week is American talismans
