Not exactly that hard to determine who is going to win.
Even in a pure sword fight, Weiss would have no chance against someone like Mitsuru. Weiss' feats suck.
Even if she wasn’t immune to Ice it’s still one sided if you look at the feats it says she created over 500,000 kilotons of ice that’s more powerful than any character in the show

kinda disappointed that Weiss didn't use any fire power even though she does a lot during: armor Gigas fight, vol 5 lighting up a room, vol 1 blows up a tree, vol 1 blows up ruby... ok that doesn't seem crazy BUT SHE CAN USE FIRE!

True at least Weiss gets to be cool and fight and hold her own though despite the losses until season 4 Ren was the running Joke character that pretty much fell and got knocked out at the beginning of fights.
I feel like they were trying to make it so the heroes don’t always win every fight in order to keep things interesting (Weiss for RWBY and Ren for JNPR), but then severely overdid it with the same characters.
Rooster teeth doesnt handle any of their characters well.

In Persona 3 you can't control your party members' actions during a fight. And Mitsuru's AI tends to use Marin Karin (a charm spell that may or may not work) in the worse moments possible, such as when you needed a heal spell or that last bit of damage to finish a hard fight...

Unpopular opinion here: Marin Karin is OP and if you know how to use charm you win battles easily, and the most unexpected Demons/Shadows of Demons have wekness to ailments, specially on the hard part of all the SMT/P games

It's literally Mitsuru's Instant Kill from Persona 4 Arena.
@@killdozer7792 taokaka used one of her moves to end felicia vs taokaka, but instead of having felicia fly off screen and vanish, they knew to have her get sliced in half so it'd be satisfying. Fact of the matter is that in this fight I'm not even sure Weiss died because she was screaming during the final hit, meaning she survived. Then we never see a corpse. So for all intents and purposes the implication is that she survived, more than that she died.

Possibly? maybe it would work regardless considering it is firing a physical projectile at you while the fake ones aren't firing anything, the enemies just think they are, and they take damage as if they were firing bullets, but since the real gun is actually firing something, that something would hit you regardless.

@@zappingblue9095 That's not the only factor for why Mitsuru won. The only thing Weiss is better at is probably fencing and has speed that is also, *marginally* ...
Mitsuru is way powerful than Weiss and she excels and has a lot of skills and abilities on her arsenal. Max. player level in P3 enables you to have 9999 health points and 999 spirit points. She can keep fighting and also, she can heal herself fully back to health and drain her foes' spirit (We didn't get to see Spirit Drain. Guess Mitsuru never needed.) to recover her own spirit, so she can fight until she is *dead* ... I doubt that Weiss possesses power enough to one-shot her. But Mitsuru *can* ... Sadly, they didn't let her have Mind Charge for the battle. (charges herself and makes a magic skill deal 2.5x time more dmg). We also didn't see Niflheim, which is an ice skill that deals way more than Bufudyne. Mind Charge + Niflheim would have given Weiss a lot of trouble.
Also, she can cause charm and panic with random chances (they didn't let her have these as well...) but if she landed either one, Weiss would easily lose since she can't move (can't do anything, basically paralyzed and if she has healing abilities, the charm makes her heal her enemies) while charmed and can't use skills (can only use normal attacks and items) during panic.
What else? Analytical abilities that her Persona has lets her spot Weiss' weaknesses (weak points) and also exposes Weiss to Mitsuru. If Weiss ever was able to vaporize Mitsuru's ice into steam with her fire and let's say, that steam engulfs the whole battle field, blinding both of them, Mitsuru still knows exactly where she is, without looking.
And don't let me talk about the weapons, armor and shoes that P3 offer because they would let her solo even more.
Clearly, we have a winner here and that is Mitsuru. And y'all should go see Sasuke vs Hiei. It's already ovbious who wins. Death Battle always picks someone that can nullify the primary element of the other fighter and is way more powerful, like Natsu vs Ace. Mitsuru vs Weiss is the same. And also, Hiei vs Sasuke... the same.

@@sasparillagreg-9292 Theres this joke that came from the fact that Mitsuru would use Marin Karin (a move that inflicts charm to enemies but hardly hits) repeatedly. It was worse since you couldn't control your teamate's actions, so she would cast marin karin instead of a healing move more often.

Edit: Guys, it’s a meme. I know that there are many different reasons why Mitsuru wins but I just used the obvious one for a meme.
Reminds of the fight against the man made of fire vs the guy that can eat fire.
Ice spikes should be able to harm her though. Immunity to cold is one thing, but immunity to getting impaled is something else entirely.
That's why I always skip straight to the fight. The fighter backgrounds almost always give away who will win.

It's most likely a contract issue with most of the VAs. Most companies would prefer not to have a offical VA voice their characters in a unofficial work. Death Battle can get away with RWBY and Red Vs Blue characters easily because Roosterteeth owns them.

Thats awesome. She also tanked that bridge blast long before the Nyx fight, right? So at her peak she's magnitudes stronger.

I love RWBY and Weiss is my favorite character but I have to give props to Death Battle for not being biased.
Sahil Patel I had a guy get angry at me when I said “I don’t think Weiss is gonna win.” He started ranting on how Death Battle is biased and complained that Weiss is definitely gonna win b/c she’s RT. Needless to say I was annoyed with the person.
@@KingOfAnime247 i mean everyone said DB was biased because of the Tifa and Yang fight, but DB was overestimating Yang's abilities. But for Weiss you really couldn't have because she hasn't really won any battles on her own, especially against other humans.

IKR. I know we're here to see a death match, but it's those brief moments when two people meet and size each other up before they get down to business that makes it more enjoyable. For example, the intro of Vergil Vs. Sephiroth

Little bit I realized: One many wonder how Mitsuru survived getting straight-up impaled by Weiss, but I think that was an invocation of the fact that, in Persona 3: The Answer, you fight Mitsuru as a boss, and she has the passive ability "Sharp Student", which reduces your chance of critical hits. Presumably, that's what saved her here.

@@KnightofChaosDeck DBX Ruby vs Ragna. There was an in-video ad for RWBY. The fight had basically only RWBY music. Ruby used silver eyes against Ragna as a BUFF. Which it isn't. It's an attack. That only affects Grimm.
Ragna has beaten two gods and has reality warping abilities.
Death Battle has admitted to overpower Yang to beat Tifa.

people sleep on persona characters a lot of them are actually really strong especially since they get insanely strong at the end of their respective games
I believe each Persona user would be at least close to Universe level since they all can tank hits from the final enemies of their respective games, all of which are Universe level beings

@@milesandrews6711 Spoilers ahead: Nyx is basically death, you can't kill the concept of death, while she can one shot you. The only reason she was defeated was because the MC sacrificed himself. It is pretty much the same thing with Izanami: She is an undead goddess. So in other words this means Izanami is immortal, technically invulnerable and can banish people to the underworld. She only lost because the MC used Myriad Truths on her. Also, the power of bonds works even if you're alone, since this power comes from the bonds you created with other people, so their presence in the fight isn't necessarily needed.

@@milesandrews6711 Nyx can only be defeated by basically destroying the concept of death, and that can only be acomplished by something beyond universe level. She can also one shot anything that's not full immortal. Izanami is already dead, you can't just kill her twice. The only way to get rid of her is erasing the underworld, and since she resides there, she would dissapear along with that realm. This is another feat that only above universe levels would be able to do. She could overrun the world with shadows and destroy all civilization, and If you resisted she could just banish you to the underworld, where you would never be able to return if she didn't want you to.

Carlos Benitez Weiss is slower weaker less durable has less experience fighting a worse record against competent opponents, and her other elemental attacks are at best sub par so even if she did abuse fire dust she couldn’t hope to injure Mitsuru let alone defeat her

She kinda has no choice considering Mitsuru is completely immune to ice and she can make others no longer resistant to it through Ice Break.

Every time I think of it just feel even more stupid. How did they mange to turn everyone's weapons into a completely unrelated style?
Rudy use her weapons like an ice pick like tomb rider, just for climbing but not damaging;
Weiss now use "magic" with her "wand";
Blake don't even fight well with one blade less alone two with guns;
And Yang are more likely using a mega-man buster than the good old shotgun of Ember celica now.
Like, what's wrong with them? That is not the RWBY girls I felt in love for.
This used Weiss’s fight style better than the actual animation team for RWBY

Man this really made me realize how busted the protagonist of any persona game can be. Immune to/ absorb element can be applied to literally any persona in persona 5 for example, and in turn it's possible to make a persona literally immune to everything, including gun and physical attacks. With that in mind a character immune to every element, physical attacks, and gun based/explosive attacks can beat just about anything under the sun like yeesh

Which is why nobody in SEES ever uses a regular firearm. So even if RT got Wiz and Boomstick to bow, it wouldn't happen, period. I would have lost all respect for them had they done it. I'd have been fine with Mitsuru losing but not through entirely out-of-character stupidity.

I was quite interested in Weiss' facial expressions and her banter with Mitsuru. Especially at the end seeing Mitsuru recovered within just a few seconds after her own aura broke, the surprise and shock was prevalent on her eyes. Before launching a desperate charge using only her base body strength.
Shock, comprehension, resignation, determination. I stood no chance whatsoever but I will finish this anyway.

On one hand, the battle was awesome to watch and I learned about a cool new character similar to Weiss.

Well, I admit they dipped in seasons 4 and 5. They got better in 6 though. And to be fair, Weiss isnt so much of a fighter.
Also some reaction channels couldn't figure out if Weiss really dead because of the lack of blood or body parts that the show is known for.

Not really remember not only has mitsuru survived attacks far worse than anything weiss or her summons have done weiss out of all the main characters of rwby uses up her aura the quickest with her semblance so the moment she runs low on aura mitsuru will just heal herself and if you want to speak of trump cards Megidolaon is pretty much an insta win for mitsuru since it ignores special defenses Ie aura and considering that rwby humans are just as durable as their real world counterparts without aura well ... rip weiss, as death battle stated the winner comes down to who would win more often than not and ultimately mitsuru won thanks to her superior power, durability and arsenal the only advantage weiss had was fighting speed and even that’s nullified by how close their speeds are.
I just noticed that Weiss is using the latest outfit at the time, while Mitsuru used her old Gekkoukan uniform. It's like they took Weiss at their peak and Mitsuru at her mid.
