I've actually seen that Dave Marcus car. It was on display a couple of years ago at a racing museum around Gettysburg Pennsylvania. Recognized it immediately. I remember watching that wreck happen and thinking he was dead.
What people don't remember about 1:59 is that the actual cause of the crash was oil bring on the race track & NASCAR *NOT* throwing the caution, even after another driver had hit the wall in that spot literally the lap before.
One of the worst NASCAR crashes was Michael Waltrip during practice at Bristol. He walked away from it, but they loaded pieces of that car onto the roll back wrecker.
Video Idea: "10 Forgotten NASCAR Wins" (I suggest 2015 Kurt Busch Michigan, 2015 Matt Kenseth Michigan, 2015 Joey Logano Charlotte and 2015 and Greg Biffle 2013 Michigan.) Yeah I know alot of 2015's but TBH 2015 isn't really remembered except for 2 things Lol.
Ugh, I remember 4:01... 😑😡 In terms of racing quality, 2009 had the absolute worst speedweeks of all time: Todd Bodine & Brian Vickers got away with causing atrocious wrecks _(The wreck in this video took out both of the drivers I was rooting for in that particular race)._ Meanwhile Jason Leffler gets a 5 lap penalty for Steven Wallace coming down on him & wrecking himself. Between all that, & the fact the Truck & Cup races had unpopular winners, that was the absolute worst speedweeks of all time in terms of racing quality.
Brendan gaughns crash is certainly not forgettable, especially with his interview afterwards
I don't remember the crash at all, just the interview
When Jerry thought he won the championship was the best
That what I was thinking
Another thing about that cash was the fact that Musgrave was competing for the championship and Houston was his teammate for that race
Brendan had a great season breaks my heart what might have been
"Jim Smith can kiss my ass" -Brendan Gaughan, November 14, 2003.
Do a video on wrecks we want to forget, but can't. Candidates for that would be LePage LePaging the field, and Ryan Newman Daytona flip 2020
So unforgettable?
@@Antwan_R ye
0:58 that dude just floored it and rear ended the already crashed cars LOL
I saw that 😂
@@Mitchell2311 He tried to correct it by flooring it in the middle of a wreckage LMAOO

Suggestion for next video
Ryan Newman and Austin Dillion crash in the 2020 1st Michigan race
Most of these are pretty memorable

See, I remember the Hamlin pocono wreck as I was at a baseball game and they had it on a tv at a concession stand for some reason
I think Kelly Sutton’s flip belongs in here.
Oh hey my MRN edit 😎
I still remember some of these crashes still even though I rarely see these wrecks
Matt Kenseth’s 2000 Texas crash? I mean his car slammed the wall hard

1:55 I don't know how people would forget this crash.
