paintur68 -yes! I've been contemplating buying one and living in it full time. I live in S.Cali. Not only is the housing market out of control, but also is the rent.
Okay this is one of the few videos that's well-detailed, a very good plus! The cabinetry on the living area are all surprisingly separated properly - another good plus! Great video!
Very nice RV!According to custom, the presentation is exemplary!I particularly like the area where the shower is!Also the twin beds! All the best from Romania!Thenks for presentation!
I love so many things about this coach. As a homeschooling mom, this would be perfect for activities and such. However, this type of coach never comes with enough seats and seatbelts. I have heard so many people like myself that are looking for something like this for people with big families that are on the road a lot.
Again and again thanks so much for the awesome movie. I love the way you construct these super RVs. Pretty neat. Thanks a lot for the effort and sharing of these so nice movies!
Love this mobile homelette. What I am curious about and wish was addressed in the video is how you use bedding with the twin and king configuration. Seems like that would have been a very useful thing to include in the video.
this was such a detailed and amazing video, I am shocked that anyone giving it the thumbs down. The was beautiful* I enjoyed it deezie

Very astute comment about the overall width. I had always assumed that custom RV bodies were 2' or 2'6" wider than regular vans, but in this case it's only 8" which I did not suspect.
*Very* nice, but I'd like to suggest two possible improvements for the next model year: 1. Replace the Onan generator with the Mercedes underhood second generator with high-idle option. 2. Consider upgrading the absorption fridge to a 110v/12v compressor fridge.
Good job as always, you are one of the most pleasant people to do a walk through of these fine coaches. But you do look a little tired... maybe take one of your RVs and take a few days off..
Greetings! Yes, there are privacy curtains up front. You can get a look at the driver side curtain at 8:40 in the video. The driver and passenger side each have a curtain that slides along a track to cover the door windows and then meet in the middle to completely cover the windshield. Thanks for watching!
Hi John, we currently only offer the 24" TV seen in the tour. The reason for using a 24" TV is the based on the size of the area, not the capacity of the TV mount. We mount the bracket where it is so the TV doesn't stick out into the hallway of the coach. The TV also currently fits up against the side wall of the coach, so adding a larger TV would require moving the mounting location of the arm. I hope that helps. The Plateau XLMB video will be released next so stayed tuned! Thanks for watching!
Hi Doe, the MSRP for the 2017 Plateau XLTD is $137,670 USD / $142,870 CAD. For more detailed information visit our website here: pleasureway.com/plateau-xl-td/
Hi 2badger2, currently, only our standard body Sprinter models (Plateau TS, FL and Ascent) come with the side lane sensors. Those models come with the Mercedes Driver Assistance Package. Our two widebody models (Plateau XLMB and XLTD) do not come with that package. Regarding the decals on the sidewall, if you were to custom order your Pleasure-Way you can certainly specify to have the graphics removed upon order. Thanks for your interest!
Very nice unit! What is the size of the area where the lithium batteries are located? I'm interested in upgrading to 300AH. I also see tables that show a big drop off of usable lithium battery power for below 50 degree, do you offer a heat strip or light in the battery department for lower temperatures? Do you have a option of getting a bigger inverter? Thank you
Hello 2badger2, we don't include a heat strip in the battery compartment primarily because they are already located inside the coach, so as long as the motorhome interior is warm the batteries will be too. The battery compartment is approximately 11"x31", but with all the wiring and connections the two batteries fit fairly snug, with enough room to easily remove them when necessary. We currently do not have an option for a larger inverter, only the standard 2000 watts. Thanks for your questions!
So do we have power door locks? Ours is on a 2016 MB chassis. Still discovering different features we didn't know we had. :) Is the one in this video a 2017 chassis perhaps?
Hi C Mazz, yes, you will also have power door locks on your 2016 chassis. All model years of the Plateau XL series have featured power door locks. Thanks for watching!
Hi Mike, unfortunately not. Mercedes-Benz does not offer a 4x4 version of their cab chassis, which the XLTD is built on. We also do not build any of our models for all seasons. Although the coach can still be driven and operated fine in winter conditions, you will not be able to use the fresh water system as there are tanks and water lines exposed to potential freezing temperatures underneath the motorhome. We recommend winterizing the fresh water system at that time. Thanks for your question!
Greetings! Yes, there are three storage tanks on board. The fresh water tank is 28 US Gal/106L, the grey water tank (which holds all water used from the sinks and faucets) is 20.4 US Gal/77.2L and the black water tank is 17.4 US Gal/65.9L. All other weights and measures can be found here: pleasureway.com/plateau-xl-td/ Thank you!
love the construction, but the interior, is falling short, dont like propane sotve and the sink isnt deep or wide enough, if i could get a deeper sink, and a induction stove, and some other options, love the solar very nice. thanks
Propane stoves are standard in this size of RV. You'd need to run a generator full-time to power an induction cooktop; and could not run the AC at the same time. Unless you are hooked to shore power, that is. Larger RV's, with room for a bigger generator, and more batteries, can easily handle the load. But I agree, I'd trade that under-sink drawer for a deeper, larger sink.
Thomas Darby we are very interested in this unit, as for cooking, I enjoy cooking outdoors. I have a small table that I put a griddles on for breakfast, and a cuisinart grill for grilling and a Coleman camp stove for maybe a pot of beans, etc and a crockpot. Only cook indoors if it is raining, then usually it is sandwiches and salads.
I really like this, and it shows Pleasure-Way's attention to quality and detail. There are only a couple of things I would add, and one change: Add spot lights over the driver and passenger doors, using the overhead area, for safe exit/entry at night; and block off that small mid-portion of the under sink drawer, so that stuff doesn't rattle around, and it's a great place for the small items we all accumulate. The change? I'd like a permanent, fixed location twin or full bed, across the back, instead of a dinette and singles. Bed should be at least 39" wide. I have no use for a dinette. Additional drawers can be installed in the open space as "end tables." This is because I'm a full-time old vagabond, just me traveling, and don't need two beds... but want ONE that has more room. Just an idea!
aguyandhiscomputer Yes, precisely. I am ONE person, and the two fold-up tables are sufficient, using the front seats, for both a desk and eating table. But that is for ME, each person has their own needs.
I want one of these as a hybrid to drive without gas, Enough battery and solar power to live off the grid...Extra freezer space Wi-Fi and a lot of water holding power; for fulltime living. I also want to know I am safe; behind glass windows and a fiber glass frame? If I have the money can you build this the way I want mine???
Greetings! Unfortunately we cannot. We believe in having multiple power sources to ensure you will never be stuck without power. We include propane to run the fridge, stovetop, water heater and furnace. Propane is more efficient than running a generator to recharge batteries after they become depleted. I hope this helps explain our position on not building all-electric, thank you!
Just curious. Dean, is it really possible for a 72 inch person to stretch out on a 74 inch bed? Seems like, when you include the pillow space, you would have to sleep with your knees bent or feet or head touching the ends. Otherwise, this appears to be a perfectly designed motor home. Pure luxury.
Greetings What is the dimension of the cab-over storage? and weight capacity? It almost looks as if it could be a bunk sleeping area. Thank you! I'm interested in the most multi-functional, dual-purpose living areas when it comes to limited space and prefer two separate sleeping areas and even an individual quite zone if its possible... so to speak.
Hi Faith, the dimension of the over-cab storage is approx. 68" wide x 17" high x 24" deep. However, the cab is not square so those dimensions change with the contours of the area. For example, the 17" measure is the highest point (front of storage area) and progressively gets shorter as the area rounds over. Regarding weight capacity, the area is quite strong as it is supported by the steel frame we built as well as the original chassis roof, which the storage area rests on. You can safely store 200 lbs in that area with no problem. I will add that we don't recommend using that over-cab storage area for sleeping as we have not designed it for that use. Thanks for watching!
Hi Kathy, the MSRP for the Plateau XLTD starts at $137,670 USD / $142,870 CAD. The generator and 2000 watt inverter are standard features on all our models, so that is included in the MSRP. Ok Thank you. This is very nice But don't want the propane stove just counter. It would be lovely to add plugs with adequate apps for Coffee pot and Portable induction cooktop Also it would be helpful to raise the kitchen bottom cabinet a inch or two so we don't have to stoop to use it. That would also give room for the additional room in the drawers that would be appreciated. Also IKIA has a wonderful style drain so you can enjoy a nicer drawer under the sink. Also frosted glass in the Bathroom window would be an improvement. Is it well insulated? Nothing was discussed on The INSOLATION.
Hi Kathy, regarding the insulation, we install rigid, polystyrene foam insulation in the Plateau XLTD. It is installed in square pieces along the side and rear walls as well as the roof. Although we use insulation, our coaches are only built for 3 seasons. Meaning, in below freezing temperatures you can still operate the coach fine, but you will have to winterize the complete fresh water system. Thank you.
To be honest, I don't mind the bathroom being smaller, if you can put another dining/working area in the front and don't have to make the bed everyday would be more ideal. Otherwise his coach looks nice
Hi Tanja, the Plateau XLTD is 22' 9" from bumper-to-bumper. All other measures, weights and specifications can be found here at the bottom of the page: pleasureway.com/plateau-xl-td/ thank you!
Hello, the Plateau XLTD comes with two seat belts, which are the front cab driver and passenger chairs. The XLTD and XLMB both have sideways oriented sofas which makes it difficult to add seat belts, so we designed them to be two-person motorhomes. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your response. Your motorhomes are beautiful and elegant. They're just the right size to travel across the US with great mobility. But I need to safely transport at least 5 people, and I cannot do that without the necessary restraints.
I'll just add that our standard body van models: Plateau FL, Plateau TS, Ascent and Lexor each come with 4 seat belts. Unfortunately we do not offer any models with five seat belts as you require.
Hi sparky neely, in the Plateau XLTD, we install rigid, polystyrene foam insulation to the walls of the coach. It is installed in square pieces along the side and rear walls as well as the roof. Although we use insulation, our coaches are only built for 3 seasons. Thanks for your interest!

Hi Rico La, although we always attempt to provide as much detail in our videos as possible we are not always able to showcase everything. We do indeed spray the entire frame and undercarriage of the motorhome with undercoat. The motorhome is lifted on a hoist so we are able to spray and thoroughly cover all unprotected areas of the steel frame. This process is done soon after where the construction aspect of the video left off. I hope that helps clear things up. Thanks for the keen observation and taking the time to watch!
Hello, the occupant and cargo carrying capacity on the XLTD varies depending on the amount of solar panels added (up to five panels) and whether or not Alcoa wheels are added. The range of the O.C.C.C. will effectively be 1315 lbs to 1395 lbs, depending on the combination of the aforementioned options. Thanks for watching!
Is there a way to "catch" the entrance door open when using the screen so that a gust of wind doesn't rock it back and forth? I don't see a magnet or door catch on the XL designs.
This is almost perfect...for me personally a full size permanently fixed king bed in the back would be awesome. I can eat using the front seats and the small tables that they have. I’d much rather have a high quality real king sized bed in the back.
When will these motor coach people get with it and create a hybrid; with outrageous gas prices, it would help bring travel economy willingness to rv back!
only thing I dislike is the tiny college style fridge. Roadtrek and Triple E have a big home sized fridge. I like the dry bath brovo of seperating yourself from Roadtreks nasty wetbath. I wish ya'll made the back cab able to be converted into a mini office. i.e. one side a desk one side a bed.
It is beautiful please send me one as a gift, I will be homeless soon, and need a warm place to live with my dog.all kidding aside It is a very nice camper.
Sorry, bathroom cube (floor to ceiling) placed forward BLOCKS feeling of openness from the moment you walk up the steps into the RV. The front cab view is almost cut in half from the rear. Bathroom itself is nice, but wow......how appetizing is it to open a toilet area into a kitchen. The over-cab storage will always look like a mess without doors. I realize top or side opening doors are out of the question but solution could be three tracks with equal size thin sliding doors .This full covering would only block 1/3 of the opening access when fully open and still provide plenty of width to load and unload. Keep your beautiful interiors clean with all storage covered. I 've played with the floorplan to place that bathroom, but it's a real hard to solve problem. But seriously ......bathroom NEXT to kitchen OK but never opening into ....eeeewwww.
wasn't sure about the bathroom being up front at first but realizing its actually the best place for it. Great idea!
Love the brightness, gives unit a roomy feeling
Love this RV. We are waiting until you put a washer/dry combo into it before we buy!!!
You make the shower look spacious, But, Close the door and I feel claustrophobic.
The rest of the coach is outstanding !!
beats the toilet/shower all in one style
I like the CEO salesman. He seems like a really nice person. I bet he has a dog named Sparky.
paintur68 Love the How I Met Your Mother reference.
paintur68 -yes!

Great spokesman. No wasted time very detailed. Nice Coach. I didn't see or here any mention of the insulation used.

Was thinking the XLMB but I love the big windows and all that storage on this one!
That is making my heart race. Love love love!!!!
there's lots of different companies out there but looks like this is one very good one

This is nice for traveling across state love to have one
This is perfection
Thank you for the tour !!
Good job as always, you are one of the most pleasant people to do a walk through of these fine coaches. But you do look a little tired... maybe take one of your RVs and take a few days off..

can we have this model without the propane, with a diesel generator, electric appliances?
Very professional review and amazing camera work. You just earned a subscriber.
Happy to hear that, thanks for watching!
very nice , dose it come in four season and four wheel drive for the sportsman ?
Hi Mike, unfortunately not. Mercedes-Benz does not offer a 4x4 version of their cab chassis, which the XLTD is built on. We also do not build any of our models for all seasons. "I have no use for a dinette"
Most people would disagree. Where do you eat? The front seats?
aguyandhiscomputer Yes, precisely. I am ONE person, and the two fold-up tables are sufficient, using the front seats, for both a desk and eating table. But that is for ME, each person has their own needs.

What is the dimension of the cab-over storage? and weight capacity? It almost looks as if it could be a bunk sleeping area. Thank you! I'm interested in the most multi-functional, dual-purpose living areas when it comes to limited space and prefer two separate sleeping areas and even an individual quite zone if its possible... so to speak.
Hi Faith, the dimension of the over-cab storage is approx. 68" wide x 17" high x 24" deep. However, the cab is not square so those dimensions change with the contours of the area. What is the price range for one with twin beds and solar and generator and 2000 watt Inverter ?
Hi Kathy, the MSRP for the Plateau XLTD starts at $137,670 USD / $142,870 CAD. The generator and 2000 watt inverter are standard features on all our models, so that is included in the MSRP.
Regarding solar panel options, the MSRP for one, 95 watt panel package is $975.00. We offer a maximum of five panels on the XLTD and that 475 watt (5 panel package) is $3,250.00.
For more detailed information on pricing and availability it is best to contact your nearest Pleasure-Way dealer, which you can find here: pleasureway.com/locator/ I hope this helps, thank you!
Ok Thank you. This is very nice But don't want the propane stove just counter. It would be lovely to add plugs with adequate apps for Coffee pot and Portable induction cooktop
Also it would be helpful to raise the kitchen bottom cabinet a inch or two so we don't have to stoop to use it.
It is installed in square pieces along the side and rear walls as well as the roof. i may be missing the answer already, but how many feet is the RV? thanks in advance.
Hi Tanja, the Plateau XLTD is 22' 9" from bumper-to-bumper. All other measures, weights and specifications can be found here at the bottom of the page: pleasureway.com/plateau-xl-td/ thank you!
How many seatbelts does this motorhome come with?
Unfortunately we do not offer any models with five seat belts as you require.
...but is it a widebody with duplex USB ports?
I think you misspoke after showing the bed conversion. You said you have 65" overhead - that's only 5' 5".....
What insulation do you use in the walls?
Hi sparky neely, in the Plateau XLTD, we install rigid, polystyrene foam insulation to the walls of the coach. It is installed in square pieces along the side and rear walls as well as the roof. Although we use insulation, our coaches are only built for 3 seasons. Thanks for your interest!
I admit to curiosity as to why a Canadian company would only build for three seasons. Isn't the story in the mountains that there's ten months of winter and two months of bad skiing?
Amazing!
Thanks for watching!
so, is this considered a class C rather than a van?
Hi Deb, we refer to our Plateau XLTD as a Class B Plus. However, because it is built on a cab chassis rather than a van chassis, it is technically a Class C motorhome. Thanks for your question!
How toxic is the material you use to make this?
I didn't see any rust proofing on the frame as I live in the rust belt.
Do you offer it on a Ford F-450 Chassis?
Greetings! We currently do not build on any Ford chassis.
Oh it needs a Larger Frig with a freezer large enough for a large bag of Ice and a few frozen food items
what is ccc on this bad boy?
Hello, the occupant and cargo carrying capacity on the XLTD varies depending on the amount of solar panels added (up to five panels) and whether or not Alcoa wheels are added. The range of the O.C.C.C. will effectively be 1315 lbs to 1395 lbs, depending on the combination of the aforementioned options. Thanks for watching!
110 or 220 hook up?
Hi Fahey House, our motorhomes are supplied with a 110v, 30 AMP hook up. Thanks for watching!
Pleasure-Way Motorhomes
How do you power the roof AC with 110v?
Edit: I'm an idiot. I thought 30amp was higher than 110v.
I want to marry this I'm afraid to ask the price
NANA JAHNIQUEJESSIE - I had to look. Best $140K and up. Used. Close to $90K. I could live in this and spend my time on the road.
and the Plateu XL??
Hi Juan, the Plateau XLMB (Murphy Bed) will have its own tour video and will be out soon. Thanks for watching!
Is there a way to "catch" the entrance door open when using the screen so that a gust of wind doesn't rock it back and forth? I don't see a magnet or door catch on the XL designs.
Nice 😊
My dream car

This is almost perfect...for me personally a full size permanently fixed king bed in the back would be awesome. I can eat using the front seats and the small tables that they have. I’d much rather have a high quality real king sized bed in the back.
Beautiful. But when this vehicle need repair, where to go to repair Mercedes?
When will these motor coach people get with it and create a hybrid; with outrageous gas prices, it would help bring travel economy willingness to rv back!
only thing I dislike is the tiny college style fridge. Roadtrek and Triple E have a big home sized fridge. I like the dry bath brovo of seperating yourself from Roadtreks nasty wetbath. I wish ya'll made the back cab able to be converted into a mini office. i.e. one side a desk one side a bed.
I like to Murphy bed model that one is more awesome than this one. But this one is nice too.
No shower/toilet !!!
He showed the bathroom and it had a shower and a toilet. He even mentioned the toilet was residential size. Sorry you missed it.
Супер!
Somebody once did tell me that RV's are better built quality in Canada. After watching this video I guess they were telling the truth.
We won't argue with that! Thanks for watching.
Who watches the CFL? 😂
