Satya Bhai... Thanks for showing us RATLAM ( Jn ,) after a long time ... I am more delighted to see the cleanliness of this particular station. Earlier time Ratlam ( Jn) was one of the dirtiest railway stations in India with plenty of Beggers around you where it was impossible to eat delicious Sev - Poha ( MP) around them...BTW... You have forgotten to mention all time well known & most favourite RATLAMI SEV speciality of Ratlam... . Further ... during the time of operation of the Meter gauge line from Indore ( Jn) - Fatehabad Chandravati Ganj ( Jn) - Badnagar to Ratlam to Jawra - Mandsaur - Chittorgarh - Ajmer ... at Ratlam ( Jn) there was existence of Diamond Crossing, which these days no longer exist due to convergence of MG to BG... Thanks & Regards 😊
I am from Dahod.. Pashim express Train was legendry and premium train over the period of time value is getting down due to no change in arrival and departure from many decades

Very nice video satya ji, I'm 50 year old, from Nadiad, jab bhi Dahod aata he college ke din yad aate he, yeh train ab pehle jesi nahi rahi, ab eske bare me sochna band kar diya, train me, AC coach me chuhe aa jate he, Punjab ke liye ab 12473, 19223 ya via Delhi hoke hi jate he, Mumbai vali koi bhi train nahi sochte.❤❤

You cant even imagine the level of service, that you receive in even SL class, In jnyaneshwari express, or Gyaneshwari Exp, betweeen Kurla Twrminus in Mumbai, and, i dont know now, earlier it iwas HWH, but maybe now, Shalimar. Gyaneshwari and its sister train, Samarasata, provided the best travel experience!! The food, the servoce, it is on a next level!! Bhai, woh bhi CR ke trains hain, and look at SER, the other major operator in this route. Inko sharm bhi nahi aati!!.Yaar, sab kuch milta hain yaar, you mention it to train staff, it will be taken care of!! I have myself
@satyabhai lovely vlog ! Just to add from initial days train was inaugurated from Mumbai Central to Amritsar. When train was made 24 coaches and had some slip coaches from Chandigarh it was moved to Bandra terminus. Now MMCT has few platforms capable of handling long LHB hence it moves to MMCT now. Happy journey
Try howrah Mumbai Duronto it's no longer a good train the services degraded lot must try thst experience and report

Satya Bhai, highly recommended Journeys in Gangaur SF, trust me it will not disappoint. One of the best crack SF trains in IR. Also do Punjab Mail, many stops but it is legendary.
It was totally air-conditioned. It was second to Rajdhani express. There was Restaurant like pantry car. Where you can seat and order. It was so clean ! I still remember. It was in the year 1974.
Now you can't use the toilet.

Dahod in pure Gujarati is called DoHad, which means 2 boundaries. It derived this name as this city is near 2 state boundaries, MP & Rajasthan. It's a tribal belt city and is popular for its Kachoris and Namkeen. Just 100 Km of Dahod is another tribal-oriented city called Banswara which is in Rajasthan.
Ironically, Banswara is the only Rajasthan district without a Cm of Railway line. A new line project from Dungarpur - Banswara - Ratlam was announced and inaugurated with lots of fanfare in 2013, but the project was kept on hold due to some issues of land acquisition by the Government.
Just a month back, Govt announces de freezing of the project & the work may start soon. Let's hope My Banswara City can listen to the whistles of the train one day.

Experience was very bad, all washrooms were chocked, being next to general coach all passengers & hawkers were entering the coach.
No security.

I do not know the current status but way back in the 90s, Paschim express had some coaches which were removed from the train at Delhi, and they were attached to the Howrah Kalka mail going towards Kalka.
we had to remain within the coaches as they were disconnected and reconnected. Our tickets were from Mumbai to Kalka.
it was meant to benefit those who wanted to go to Shimla as the toy train to Shimla starts from Kalka station.
now people prefer to drive from Chandigarh to Shimla or fly in so i think this rail service no longer exists.
Paschim express coaches had disconnected and connected at ambala cantt. Junction Not at connected to hwh kalaka mail at new delhi Junction . hwh kalka mail halt at old delhi railway station not at new delhi station.
@@sanjaynarang4069 as I said, it was a long time ago, around 1987/88. I remember it coz earlier in the journey, i got a scolding when I fell asleep and almost fell out from middle berth so I was determined not to fall asleep during the remaining journey.

It's a great initiative by u regarding logding a complaint for food charges
After around 20 years I travelled by train on 1st of June & choose Paschim Express from Mumbai to Chandigarh in 3rd AC to refresh my childhood memories
But the washroom was so so so much dirty that it forced me to cancel my return journey by train & I fly back to Mumbai
