- When I say I've been editing this for months... sorry about the inconsistent audio, I did this in 5 parts. Also this is not about the music!!! It's mostly about the management and concept and being more sonically consistent. Also if any of these songs sound similar to Troubleshooter, Lovestruck, or Japanese releases that is a complete coincidence!! None of those were out when I was selecting the songs, Doublast was still being teased.
Anyways, I care a lot about Kep1er and I want so much better for them. They deserve so much better than even I can think of. I really hope whatever they do in the future will be a massive improvement.
Like I said in my previous videos, I will be on vacation in Paris and away from my main computer for a week so I will try to keep up with the next episode of QDPZ but no promises.

kep1er actually makes me mad god. poor girls. imagine if this is yujin’s last group. imagine if xiaoting returns to china. what is hikaru can’t join xg, but the company can’t afford a new debut. what if yeseo looses the last of hope she has in seeing love in this industry. there are so many “what if” situations that could be bearable on it’s own, but for THIS? this isn’t like izone or ioi. this group has members who have been in this industry for a while, members who might find this their last shot. it may seem stupid to get this upset over music, concept and other small details, but it all comes back to them being managed poorly. kep1er has turned into a huge waste of time for the girls and fans. not impressed wakeone.
How does one person do better concepts than whole companies lmao😭😭
I think it's a combination of mental illness and actually caring about the group
I love how the one thing about Kep1er everybody agrees on is that Mnet couldn't have screwed them over harder if they tried.
I just hope that whatever girls planet group comes next will recieve better treatment than Kep1er, these girls deserve so much better than what they got
Now I’ve seen not one but TWO KTubers doing a better job with Kep1er than MNET/Wake One. And both vids are totally different. So, it’s not like there was only one direction the group could’ve been taken in. Like, how can these multi-million dollar companies not put their heads together and come up with something competent. Given how ZB1’s debut seemed much more put together, I’m definitely willing to believe the theories that Wake One was just using Kep1er as guinea pigs for ZB1. The girls deserved better.
Anyways, this vid was amazing! I love how much work you put into it! Great job! And as a fellow EXO-L, I’d love for more groups to have associated elements! 🙌❤️
Since Kepler is being re imagined with lore, I think it would be great if at the near end of their contact, they will have a kdrama web series where in there's further explanation with the lore, they can pull it off especially yunjin and yeseo because of their acting experiences. The cinematography and aesthetics look like yyxy's love 4 eva, fx's 4 walls, and Gowon's one and only, it should look like a indie artsy type of series.
It has an "Alice and in a the wonderland" type of plot with high school setting, aside from Kepler, there will be a character which face cannot be seen (like newjean's ditto) that symbolizes the fans. I would also be fun to have ZB1 members to have cameos and help the girls with the story's conflict.
Anyway great video and I hope more videos to come ( ◜‿◝ )♡
i think yujin has the most idol experience and could be used as a fotg. especially since she was really popular on gp999
She would be a really strong candidate but Yeseo still has the most idol experience, she debuted as an original 1st generation member of the kid K-pop group CutieL in 2010 so she still has about 5 years of experience on Yujin (although limited since kid groups tend to not have a lot of activities). Yujin is also the leader of the group so she automatically takes on a lot of promotional responsibility for the group. There's usually not an overlap of the same member being the leader and FOTG since leaders tend to do a lot of the same promotional activities as a FOTG + more.

You put a lot of thought into this! I'm so impressed. And kinda sad. Because this seems like it would've been so much better than what WakeOne has done with them. Like you, I hope they can make the most of their final year so that the girls have a solid foundation for future endeavors.
this is so good! im also working on re-doing kep1er’s career bc im a huge fan & i feel like we chose some of the same songs! the best part of this video was definitely the tour names + dates. very well detailed! also like that you recognize bahiyyih’s strength as a dancer! 💞💞💞
oh and appreciating yeseo’s talents. shes apart of my bias line & i feel like she’s very underappreciated but she’s such a star.
I've loved Yeseo's vocals since the first time I heard her in Buster's Paeonia! I really like how distinct her tone is

Unpopular opinion: The reason W1 can't handle Kep1er well is because the public's choice doesn't match Mnet's choice... Only Dayeon, Yujin, Hikaru, and Xiaoting match Mnet's choice but the rest don't.... I think that's why W1 seems confused about what to do with this group... I mean Mnet literally sends for help a week before final episode because the results of the audience's choices really didn't live up to Mnet's expectations... But what can audiences do when they can only choose 1 trainee a day and of course the audience will be biased... Also W1 is so confused about the concept that this group will do... I thought Kep1er would do a concept about space but apparently not... W1 did a lot of things but didn't find any suitable result for Kep1er... and so Kep1er became neglected
it's evident they didn't want hiyyih and fumbled so hard on her. she was a new trainee but was already showing her talent in singing and especially dancing! i understand why they didn't want to expand her dancing abilities due to having k1 c1 and j1 there already but her voice is very recognizable and crystal clear, and this group is not as strong on the vocal side due to the abundance of dancers
hiyyih could've been DEVOURING the stage as a lead vocalist all this time had she received proper training but oh well
All the thought that went into this! I’m so impressed. Kep1er got screwed over so bad irl, I’m not even really a fan but I’ve been super hoping for their company to get it together for them

well, this version was a lot better than everglow up's. at least you had the decency to set your own personal ill feelings towards certain girls aside (not saying you do from what i can tell) to remake the groups so kudos for that! heads up tho, both keplians and hiyyihlights have agreed to stop calling her "bahi" because that was the name she was bullied with. we only call her hiyyih.

Oh my gosh I’m so excited I’ve seen this video. I’ve been waiting for it for so long. I really like what you did with colors specifically how the three units and their interaction with the planets and finding their memories through dreams I feel like it’s a good way to complement both the space concept with the dream concept.
The only problem is I have is this is so much work for helix to do. I feel like you would have to give them at least another year and a half to comfortably be able to do this much work and space it out properly.
And this is a small thing, but if we’re considering positions from at debut, I would probably switch the second FOTG from yesso to bahiyyih. Now it’s absolutely true 100% that yesso is not being utilized properly but bahiyyih has always been very recognizable because of her unique western/eastern features and I feel like it also bounces well out with xiaos visuals.

I answered both of those concerns in other comments but in short:
I did calculate the time and considered how much work it was while planning and my main goal was that they maximize their limited time. They have a ~30 month contract and out of those 30 I counted 10 months where they have no schedules, music or tour. They also release the same amount of music as Iz*One in more time so it's not an unprecedented amount of releases ^^'
As for the FOTG, it's more than just a visual role, it's also about representing the group as an individual. For example with LOONA both Vivi and Go Won are gorgeous and are considered visuals in the group but Heejin and Chuu are the FOTG because they're better promotional members (entertaining, book a lot of cfs/acting roles, represent the group) and that was the logic I went into with Kep1er as well. Yeseo has 10 years of experience and should be pushed more as a FOTG because she can act, she can go on variety etc and she also fits Korean beauty standards being considered one of Kep1er's top visuals among Knetz along with Xiaoting and Chaehyun. It's nothing against Bahiyyih or her popularity as I know she'll be pushed as the FOTG when she redebuts :)

Girl i loved this video but i have to be honest on this one. U are not over working them. U are tortur1ng them 😭. If not in thier first year they got two mini asian tour its already difficult but adding a bunch of album where they have to rpomote 2 (or more song) sound like a living hell. I liked it but i would take down a couple of the album because thats too much. And also, i loved that u included video ideas but knowing how hateful fandom can be, if u put someone in an hourglass ull have all atinys coming for ur back
I understand the concern, believe me I do, but I did take into consideration how to maximize their time as a group while promoting them as the global group Mnet promised they would be without overworking them.
For comparison, they released 3 Korean mini albums in 2022 in reality. They also competed on Queendom (a stressful waste of time). They had their Japanese debut with a pre-release then the extended single and released a single for Universe. That's 5 in one year not counting the 6 Queendom songs which were all prepared in a span of like 5 months?
2023 has been much less eventful but they've still released a Japanese comeback with 2 pre-releases, a mini album, and a comeback slated for next month.
Iz*One had 4 Korean mini albums and 1 full length album as well as 6 Japanese releases not including pre-releases. It's also widely believed that had the scandal not interrupted they would have had at least one other Korean release. I admit I'm not the best at math but that would make a total of 11 releases not counting the assumed last release nor the pre-releases. That's same as my planned releases for Kep1er. Also in less time than my Kep1er releases (Oct 2018-Dec 2020 vs Jan 2022-June 2024).
The tour schedules also reflect the strain it puts on the performers with them almost always getting at least a day to rest in between traveling and performing. But the tours are also not set in stone things, just suggestions for a good way to spend the time in between releases.
3 full months between Impact and Dream. Early June-early July Asia tour. Light in early September. Oct-Dec Asia tour. December JPN debut. 2 months until Flight in March. June=For The Sky. July=First Journey. Late July-Oct world tour. Oct JPN promo/tour, late Nov-Jan empty schedule with one(1) pre-release stage for New Year's. Feb-early April Asia tour. Full album in April, JPN anthology in May. End of May Korean pre-release. Final album mid-June. I counted 10 months with no releases or tour schedules which is fair for a ~30 month project group contract IMO. If they were a group with a ~7 YEAR contract, I would agree this could all be more spread out but they have comparatively very little time to reach their full potential as a group.
For another (slight) comparison, in 2017 Twice had 7 releases in Korean and Japanese in just one year.
I get your point but that's also why I mentioned the specific dates I had in mind, because I know this is a lot for a non-project group but they should maximize the limited time they have so they have a much stronger foundation when the group disbands and fans feel like it was worth it to invest in the group.
I appreciate the concern but I was trying to be considerate of the time they have to do any and all of this 😀

the only thing i wouldve changed from ur plan is keep Up in their summer album, since we wouldve plan everything to go right from the beginning , people who werent as attracted to kepler at first would LOVE up!
I LOVED Up. Still don't really like Wa Da Da but Up was really what convinced me that they're being horribly mismanaged (and very partly inspired this video) but I had already planned like 4 of their releases by the time Doublast was out so it just didn't fit with my plans, unfortunately :/

I agree with the concept you chose for kep1er. But not for selecting the title song and almost all the songs. Why? Because the theme and song selection are too cute. Meanwhile, in my opinion, they are more suitable for songs like MVSK, La voyage, LVLY, Love on Lock, Lion Tamer, Happy ending, The Girls or tOgether forever. I think these songs are more mysterious and beautiful but still strong and enchanting(and a little sexy), like their dance characters are powerful but still beautiful
Literally anyone can manage these girls better than wakeone

i love your vision, i just wish you used more kep1er songs bc they have a few songs that are REALLY underrated, such as downtown, dreams, (not sure if released when this video was made) back to the city etc....

Aaaa I definitely would have since I also love all the songs on Lovestruck and Dreams and more but it's less a matter of them being out when the video was released and me creating the albums etc before even Doublast was released😅 I was finalizing everything around Troubleshooter and hadn't actually listened to the album until early 2023 and, by then, I already had this entire vision laid out and was working on the script (the editing took actual ages) if I were to remake this I would definitely work more actual Kep1er songs in there, especially ones like Back to the City that only reinforce my point that they should lean into deep house and retro synthpop 🥰

Genuine question why wouldn’t Bahiyyih be the the fotg. She fits that position the most because she is the most known? Also Bahiyyih would be a lead vocal before Yeseo. Not trying to be weird I bias Dayeon but Huening Bahiyyihs positions don’t seem fair at all.
A FOTG is not just a distinct visual but also someone who can represent the group. Yeseo has a lot of experience and she fits Korean beauty standards well which makes her a great member to send on variety, do acting cameos, film ads etc. Bahiyyih is a bit more reserved while filming content from what I've seen so despite being popular and recognizable she isn't someone I consider a strong promotional member. Xiaoting is also more reserved on camera but she's brought a lot of attention to Kep1er such as from her ISAC Dancesport performance.
As for the vocal positions, like I said in the video, I based it on their skills *at debut* and inarguably at debut Yeseo was a much stronger vocalist. Currently Bahiyyih has improved a lot and I can easily see her go onto a more prominent vocal position when she debuts again but her skills are still less developed and she's not as technically proficient as Mashiro and Yeseo. She sounds good but she's not a stronger vocalist than Yeseo who, again, has like 10 years of experience as an active idol and entertainer. A lead vocal is supposed to be a member who is very technically proficient and could be a main vocal if they didn't have a more capable member in the line up and Yeseo was a main vocalist in Busters. But more importantly, I wanted the sound of the group to highlight Chaehyun and Yeseo's vocal tones so their songs are more recognizable and stand out so if Yeseo isn't a lead vocal in that scenario then it wouldn't really work. Hope this helps!

Well... I have some unfortunate news for you
I hate to say it, but I feel like Kep1er is going to face the same fate as the I.O.I members. A few of them are going to debut in groups that ultimately disband after a like three to four years or go on an indefinite hiatus and find other careers (Ex: Gugudan and Pristin). Then like three to four of them are going to have groups that regularly promote but won't be popular and eventually have an almost nugu status but just enough fans to save them (Ex: WJSN, DIA, and Weki Meki.). Then there will be very few members who are actually pretty well known (Ex: Chung Ha, Somi, and Kim Sejeon). I don't think that they will see the same success that IZ*ONE members had after they disbanded. Shows like the PD Series and GP/BP999 are amazing for idols careers IF they have the fan base to back them up when the project group debuts. It's sad to see people works so hard for a dream only for them to not find success. Hopefully they are able to gain more attention on them and people support them.
Loved the video! Just one question, where did "As You Wish" on the teasers for First Journey come from? Isn't it a new song? But it's not included in any album?
Editing mistake ^^' originally, As You Wish(WJSN) was the title track and I didn't change it until the middle of the editing process and forgot to fix it on that title

why isn't yujin lead dancer aswell? she is easily in the top 5 dancers in the group
the amount of "remaking kep1er, reimagining kep1er" videos show how big kep1er really could be but all their pottential was wasted to the point kep1er became a dumpster fire

Well seeing as this video was posted almost a full year before Shooting Star was released it doesn't factor into my thoughts at the time at all :)
Have you ever thought about doing this with Cherry Bullet? Lord knows FNC has NOT managed them properly despite having all the tools to do so
I've thought about doing this for a lot of groups but I will admit CheBul had not yet crossed my mind for some reason... the only reason why I felt somewhat comfortable doing it with Kep1er is bc I know all the members so I really have to get to know the CheBul girls and their vocals better before embarking on that 🫣 but I do have a concept in mind already 👀

Not really, the similarities are only the units coming together from different places, the girls here have powers too but they're different then loona's where only oec have powers, here the whole group does. oec are also the only supposed girls to know about world jumping, while here only Yeseo knows about time which is the center of the whole lore
@@psti_ I know, I watched the video , still is really similar, since it's a Re-imagining and they both have space concepts I think more things should have been added to diferentiate and make it unique.
Unpopular opinion: I'm not a fan of Kep1er so sorry if it offends fans. But I think ONE of the reasons why Iz*One was very popular and successful was because Mnet rigged it and selected members they knew would appeal to the public and match a concept they already had in mind. I didn't watch GP but I'm assuming Mnet had to be more careful and really went with the public's choice, which just brought in mixed girls suited for different concepts. That's why Kep1er doesn't have a "sound" yet or have an impact to the industry.
I mean when it comes to chemistry, Iz*one was a match made in heaven for real. Even before debuting they felt like a group when some permanent groups actually (to me) haven’t the same power just like Ive.
I don’t think Kep1er’s line up was cohesive enough when it comes to chemistry but when it comes to talent there’s way less filling members (and this is coming from a wizone). They were literally carried only by Eunbi, Chaeyeon, Yuri, Chaewon, Yujin and Yena talent wise. Kep1er on the other hand have 6 very talented dancers and 1 singer, only two members aren’t very good at a specific position.
So they could compensate the lack of chemistry with talent.
That's one of those cases where correlation doesn't mean causation. Iz*one was popular because they had good music, a nice consistent concept, and a relatively solid and united fanbase. Kep1er doesn't really have any of that. Besides, 8/9 of them had loads of screentime and angel edits during girls planet, so even if mnet were to rig the lineup they'd probably only change one member, two at the very most, which would barely make a difference as the most popular contestants ended up debuting in kep1er anyways
mnet actually did not rigg it to match who would appeal to the gp, they rigged it based on which company paid them more. they had already taken bribes and based the concept on the girls they already knew would make the final line up. with gp999 they couldnt plan ahead of time because they couldnt take bribes anymore.
Replace yujin, mashiro, yeseo, bahyihh with yurina, shana, wen zhe, and suyeon.
Not Mashiro and Bahiyyih are better dancer than Yujin. Yujin dance is always underappreciated. She was the lead rapper of Clc before Eunbin and the lead dancer.

stayc didn't take kep1er's place they claimed their own place which they deserved and they were gonna be in that place whether kep1er was successful or falling behind that rubbed me the wrong way tbh it's like kep1er was perceived to be better than stayc but stayc grew to be where they are now whereas kep1er had strong following after gp999 but couldn't hold on to it so i was like i'm not gonna give them so what by stayc for their re-imagined summer album (me being a petty swith lol) but this was overall a well thought out video and i enjoyed it
Sorry, I don't understand where you got the sense that I was saying Stayc took Kep1er’s place? The only part of the video that mentioned anything similar was when I said I would not have Kep1er go on Queendom and a group such as Stayc or similar should have been there instead. It wasn't a comment on whether Stayc "took Kep1er’s place", it was just because Queendom2 would need a 6th contestant and, in my opinion, Stayc should have been the first pick for that anyways. Glad you liked the video but a bit disappointed that you misunderstood my intentions with that statement :/
I've just started watching the video but you already went so wrong with the positions, in so many ways. You're objectively wrong, you cant hand out positions like they're free real estate and also not give it to people who deserve the positions. It's such an imbalance of skill for people who have the same positions you assigned them. As much as I hate the no position thing, Kep1er can pull it off, it's probably why only the main positions have been confirmed. That's why your positions don't make sense
I thought I am the only one who noticed. She gave lead dancer position to Mashiro and Bahiyyih but not to Yujin.
It would be VERY serious for me about this group I would buy every single release 😭💕
