Something tells me Japanese "used" is different from American "used", it's in much better condition

I just like the Japanese editions, the french editions are the closest to Japanese of what i have experienced, they are same size and they have dust covers, and lately i think some of them even have obis, sadly I'm disappointed in the french for keeping the western tradition of censorsing tokyo revengers manji symbol, they removed the manji from the title and under the dust cover, which i think in the Japanese it's juat so beautiful.

The Japanese are a bit better but not by a large margin for me. I like that they are smaller as they are easier to hold for my hand size and also with one hand, i noticed the cover is a more flexible to bend as well. I also like the Kanji that lines the speech bubbles actions and sounds. I still remember when Kubo did a bit of calligraphy on his art work and panels. Aesthetically is was beautiful and it doesnt look out of place the way bulkier english words make the actions look. It doesnt go for all mangaken works or mangas just a select few and therefore I stick to the English versions as thats what accessible. I will say some OOP English version you can find in Japanese and cheap as a whole set so theres that too.

Japanese manga is way better imo - it somehow has crispier printing and the art just looks better

Weird how the Japanese version says “Jump Comics” while the English version says “Shonen Jump Manga”

I know it might be an aesthetic thing to keep the japanese sound effect text and then add the english translation near it but I MUCH prefer just translating the sound effects fully into english. Sure it might take more time but I often find some of the english translation with the printed japanese language tends to incorporate weird translations that don't make sense and are generally much harder to read because you have to go searching for the translation itself rather than it just being right there for you to see. Jojos and AOT does it and it's made reading the story that much more difficult to consume.

@@bakauchuujin7716 it’s okay, I was just interested because to learn Chinese I bought the first volume of spy x family in Chinese and I compared it to my English first volume of spy x family. I noticed the pages were thicker and whiter.
