This is my dream table, of all the years playing vpin and always wanting to build my own table. This is it. I need this.
Hope your new employee (your son) is proud of the table he first worked on. Remember to take a photo so when he is chairman of the future XGC conglomerate, a billion dollar company, he can point and say this is where it all started...
Thanks for setting up the ease of use for the 3d and glasses, shame on that other mob for trying to rip customers off and charging big bucks.
Laughed when you said Donna scares the crap outa you in VR mode 😆
Thanks Darryl! The button idea is a very nice simple solution
LMAO. shots fired. nice one. cut em off at the pass by charging nothing.
THRILLING!!! I’ve been counting the days to see this beauty finished and it looks like the old saying “good things come to those who wait” is spot on!! This looks absolutely perfect guys, cannot wait to get my grubby mitts on it ;)
Huge thank you to the whole XGC team, but special thanks to Jackson as I know this was your first machine - THANK YOU for all your hard work!!
Congrats Joseph! It is a stunning machine!!!! Yours and mine (Ghostbusters) will be forever brothers built next to each other to teach Jackson, awesome to have our machines be part of that momentous occasion!
Heck yes!!
If you get time, know that's at a huge premium, would be really cool if you could do an updated VR video since folks are talking about it. It's been a minute. Thanks and as usual shear brilliance!
Awesome to see the ease of a button to toggle 2d and 3d mode. 👏
What do you suggest for existing cab owners?
Just the keyboard? Reprogram the 2nd coin button? I could add a button or switch in the door or drill a button in but would not know where to wire it up.
Also can you share a link to the glasses or describe which ones to get so we can order ourselves?
It is really cool. Anaglyph method is a option nowadays where there is no more 3D TV. But once a real 3D TV wearing passive glasses with reshade renderization side by side is done. Maybe you will never use 2D again. It is my case.
Another amazing VP from the legendary VP maker Darryl
And the team mate

Amazing work by all
Ahhhhh thats so cool darryl I love this!!! So glad I went with you guys
A nice little bonus to play around with, cheers XGC! 😃
Sounds good
Also why didn't you show the Futurama Future pinball table ? That would have been sweet
I'm wondering how well this works at creating that extra depth and also if there can sometimes be eye strain if using for extended periods?
I'm also thinking this might work really well with the Kinect head tracking I've seen on some other virtual pins? Because if they both worked harmoniously, then I imagine it could offer a fantastic 3D effect, with the bonus of being able to see the whole table in the real world with out a bulky VR headset.
Very cool! Will you please share a few pov settings or files for the tables you demonstrated? Cheers!
Ok Darryl item number 1 of the crap my machine is on a boat and I want a button lol. I can drill a hole and add a button can you provide where to connect so I can do this without a keyboard. Texas Mike would appreciate it lol
Anyone get this to work? I launched the vpx app and chose amber/blue but it only shows some scrambled top/bottom like in his video.
Could you add a playlist on the machine that are for the 3D tables? The ones you know are good?
All VPX tables can run in anaglyph 3D. It's a global function.
@@dave6960 he mentions in the video not all are that good so a list of just the top ones that actually use the effect well on the table. That way a person doesn't have to do trial and error on all the tables to see which play well with it
@@matthewc5255 Each person has their own eyesight, depth and colour perception. What looks great for one may not look great for another. It requires a button push to check out, and creating your own favourites playlist is simple.
Put the glasses on the camera, we want to see how is it look like?!
What FOV do you guys normally have the tables set to?
Do you need a 3d tv or will it work with any tv and glasses?
This is just simple anaglyph 3D. It will work on any screen. All you need is a pair of glasses with different colour lenses - red/cyan, green/magenta, blue/amber, etc. It is not using active shutter glasses that would require a 3D TV.
@@dave6960 Which 3D glasses have you opted to use in order to have the best color preservation while in 3D?
i've only ever tried Cyan/Red...but am curious as to how Blue/Amber look, since that seems like a lesser and more natural contrast.
Green/Magenta seems like an odd combo, but if it works and looks good then that's all that matters.
It'd be nice to be able to order a pack with all of those choices for testing purposes...perhaps Amazon carries one.
@@krankypantz330 It's a bit dependent on the main colours of the table playfield/plastics, etc. In some cases the cyan/red (blue/red) glasses don't affect colour much. In other tables, green/magenta (green/red) or blue/amber (blue/yellow) work better and have less impact on the perceived playfield colour. Another factor to consider is degrees of colour-blindness of the person wearing the glasses. This can affect depth perception/may mean that certain colour combos won't work for some people.
Amazon/e-bay etc. sellers cover all lens combos and the glasses are cheap, so picking up a few pairs won't break the bank. Not sure if anyone does a pack, though? Maybe you could experiment with some squares of cellophane from the local office supply store to test what works best for you before buying a pair of glasses?
@@thomgizziz Read the whole post.
Active or passive 3D glasses needed??
Anaglyph, so passive.
@@dave6960 Anyone know if folks have tried using the Nvidia Vision active glasses with VPX? I would love to know if that works well.
On your website is not written anywhere about 3D...
