- Before Khabib Nurmagomedov became a legend in the sport of MMA, he's was fighting in the war-torn Dagestan streets. His late father, Abdulmanap, realized that Khabib had the talent to compete in combat sports so he started training him in 2005. His father believed that Khabib had the skills to become one of the best in the world... and he was absolutely right.

Plus Dagestan was known to be the most dangerous place in Europe. During those times when Khabib was just growing up as a kid. The shooting encounters between police and militants, bomb attacks, these happened almost daily and Khabib just had to live with that kind of environment. this is the reason Khabib is so fearless and unshakable. He learned to control fear and emotion at a very young age. street fights.... those are nothing for him.

The fights over there cant be that crazy if they're so common. Around here fights are rare these days because you really need to be sure its worth it since if you lose the other dude isn't going to stop and its 2020 so its not likely anybody is going to stop him. Wind up permanently disfigured for calling out the wrong guy who bumped into you.
It's like that Reacher line "It's the same but only with trained killers". Imagine a fight in an area where are high probability of someone being a pro or a pro that didn't make it and just trains to help prepare more accomplished fighters in different kind of sports. Now imagine that that's often the case so there are a lot of people that fight all the time with everybody. I wouldn't call it crazy I'd call it dangerous.

Dude that's so funny about the bread I won 20 bucks and got to knock a guy out at a party with a loaf of bread like 5 or 6 years ago.when i was a kid me and some friends were walking down an alley and there was a bakery and they had thrown out a bunch of loafs of bread and being dumb as kids we took a bunch and started goofing around and pretty soon we start hitting each other and it hurt like alot we made a huge mess but fast forward 10 years at a house party we were all drinking and there was a loaf of bread that had mold in it and somehow the conversation turned and me and another guy start arguing me saying i could knock someone out with a loaf of bread and dude called me a liar so i bet him 20 bucks I could knock him out with a loaf of bread he called bullshit and we went outside and I swung maybe a little too hard cause when he went down he didnt wake up for the rest of the night we brought him inside put him on the couch so we could watch him..a few days later I saw him and he paid the 20 bucks.lol

@@manzooraman1993 his father kept him in sport gym in mountains to avoid problems with him growing up. Look at interview of khabib talking about street fighting. Always he speaks about fighting like he was kid with school or friends. Never talking about serious injury or weapons and death. He really belive that some country you cannot fight in the street because you will have trouble with police or go to jail? This is not right thinking. Many people will kill with weapon just if they think someone might do physical harm to them. All cultures are war torn at some point effecting older generation more than younger. Drug cultures now have daily death equal or more than some current war torn country.
